*No one's P.O.V*

Ryder's dad really ticked him off. Jack tried to make up with his former fiancé; again. His big, seductive eyes seemed to melt through her walls just like last time. And the time before that. His charms seemed to slip through her mind and clenched tightly, holding on for dear life and the whole time was squeezing the life out of her. She was like a doll to him... That's the problem here. Thought Ryder, I got my looks, my attitude, and my manor from... From.... Him.

It made Ryder sick. In fact, he wanted to go throw up right now.

"No!" She screamed, helpless. He grabbed her wrists gently and shushed her and looked into her eyes with his filthy, snake like slyness.

"Shh, babe. I want to come back - I missed you. I missed my boy. Give me another chance, please?" His luring, husky tone filled the entire room.

"No! N-no...You....you..." Her voice faltered; Jack was winning.

Ryder couldn't let it happen, but he promised to stay out of it. He couldn't let Jack win. He couldn't let his mother's heart tear like a fragile piece of paper that has been wet. No, not again.

His eyes changed from a hazel brown to a dark, cold, black colored tinge. The pain in his heart throbbed - he was ashamed. Ashamed to call that man his father. Ashamed he was in the world because of that man. But his mind wondered, he asked himself questions. What if he wasn't alive? What would happen to Nora? What about his mother?

Suddenly the screams of pain escaped his mother's lips as his head shot up, seeing Jack's hand raised from slapping her face. He was out-raged.

Ryder stomped over - practically running Jack over as he glared. Jack and Ryder tumbled down onto the floor as they fought out their differences and hatreds. Although Jack wasn't fond of hurting his son, Ryder could care less about his dad. In Ryder's mind, Jack deserved it. Jack should have never left. Jack should have never gotten together with his ex fiancé and had Ryder.

"Stop! S-stop fighting!" Ryder's mother whimpered out, making Ryder pause. The coldness in his eyes left for a second before he smacked Jack and stood up, huffing and growling at the back of his throat.

"Well," Jack chuckled; he had been drinking slightly. Ryder could smell the scent of booze on his fathers breath. "Looks like we've raised a fighter,"

"No," Ryder snickered humorlessly. "mom raised a fighter while you were off screwing girls you think are 'dolls'."

"That's no way to talk to your father, young man." Jack retorted as he narrowed his eyes.

All Ryder did was roll his own eyes. "It's the truth though. You left mom, you left me... You left us. And for what? Your own personal 'toys' you have amusement in. I wish I didn't have to call you my father."

The words which spat through Ryder's gritted teeth hurt Jack as he stumbled back in realization. He had left for his own personal gain - when he had found out he was going to be a father, a father who couldn't support his family, he ran. He ran from life, from consequences. But the consequences that faced him now only broke his heart in two. The slightly fogged mind of Jacks' wasn't fully understanding what was going on at that moment, but his heart knew. He knew he should have listened to his heart years ago; not his feet and mind. And now because of his decisions - his own son didn't want to accept his father.

Back when Jack was still in high-school, he was the jockey, he was the player, he was the ultimate guy. Every boy wanted to be him, and every girl wanted him. Well, every girl but one. That girl caught his attention one day and ever since he had tried to impress her. While his seconds turned into minutes, his minutes turned into hours. Before he knew it he had been going for days on end trying to impress that certain girl in high school - and he found himself falling for her.
