One hot summer evening Erik practically ran home from training with a huge grin spread on his face. You were watching TV in the living room, your favorite TV show "The Carrie Diaries" was on. You just loved Sebastian, he was a hot, smart and wonderful guy, and he reminded you a lot of Erik. Blue eyes, blonde hair, tall, muscular, hot, caring, sweet. Everything a girl could dream of.

-Hey, I'm home! - Erik yelled from the hallway.

-I'm in the living room! - you yelled back.

-Hey beautiful. - you noticed his good mood.

-Hey Erik. You're particularly happy today. Training was good I suppose?

-It was but I have some better news.

-Tell me. - you were all ears now.

-We're going on a vacation!

-Oh. Well, have a great time.

-No, silly, not the team and I. I meant you and I.

You were really happy and Erik could see it from miles away.

-Really? Where?

-Spin the globe baby, wherever you point, we go.

There were lots of things you loved about Erik: his smile, his eyes, his hair, his compassion, his worry, overprotectiveness, romantic gestures, his good looks, his charm... But the thing that stood out the most was his spontaneous side. He was so fun to be around, even though everybody thought of him as a shy, reclusive boy.

-Should I close my eyes?

-Whatever you want.

You spun the globe and a few moments later your finger landed on the place you wanted to visit the most.

The plane was about to land and you were growing more and more nervous every moment. Your legs were shaking and your palms were sweating, or was it because of the almost unbearable heat?

A few more minutes and then I will see the sombreros, the sea, the beaches, the historical attractions, the beautiful people who spoke the language I already know, you thought.

-Barcelona, the capital city of the autonomous community of Catalonia in the Kingdom of Spain as well as the country's second most populous municipality, with a population of 1.6 million within city limits.  It is the largest metropolis on the Mediterranean Sea, located on the coast between the mouths of the rivers Llobregat and Besòs, and bounded to the west by the Serra de Collserola mountain range, the tallest peak of which is 512 metres (1,680 ft) high. Barcelona is one of the world's leading tourist, economic, trade fair and cultural centers, and its influence in commerce, education, entertainment, media, fashion, science, and the arts all contribute to its status as one of the world's major global cities. It is a major cultural and economic center in southwestern Europe, 24th in the world (before Zürich, after Frankfurt) and a financial center.

-You did your research. - Erik was impressed by your knowledge.

-Are you kidding me?! I've been dreaming of coming here since I was four.

-Now you're here. And I'll make sure you have the time of your life.

You had no time or will for unpacking. Even though you were tired from the nine hour flight, you didn't want to waste the precious time so you went sightseeing. Barcelona was nothing like you have dreamed it would be, it was ten times better. Plus, you had the love of your life by your side.

It was already evening and the sky was turning dark blue, the stars were already starting to reveal themselves and decorated the clear sky. You were standing in the middle of the Plaça Reial, which is a square in the Barri Gòtic of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. It lies next to La Rambla and constitutes a well-known touristic attraction, especially at night. On the plaza are a large number of restaurants and some of the city's most famous nightclubs including Sidecar, Jamboree or Karma. Erik and you were staring at the sky, mesmerized by the view. There were people surrounding you, talking loudly, screaming, taking photographs, laughing... But you didn't mind. His arm was protectively wrapped around your waist.

-Erik?

-Yes?

-Can we take a picture together?

-Of course, princess. - he took out his phone and opened the camera. - Smile.

The flash blinded you for a second but soon enough your sight was back to normal.

-Let me see. - you insisted. - Ew, Erik, I look terrible! Delete it.

-No. - his eyebrows furrowed. - You are absolutely stunning.

You blushed a bit. - Erik...

-Shh... - he caressed your chin. - You're perfect, okay? I love you.

-I love you.

You two kissed under the pale Spain moonlight. The wind started blowing a bit and your skin shivered from the cold. Erik must've notice it since he took off his jacket and wrapped it around your shoulders, then entwined your fingers again.

-Better?

-Better. Thanks.

-You hungry?

-A bit.

-I have done my research too, you know and I heard that there's an awesome new restaurant open around here somewhere.

-Wow, Durm, I'm impressed. - you giggled.

-Wanna check it out?

-Of course. Maybe we could ask somebody for directions. This square is huge!

-But I don't speak Spanish.

-Watch and learn, pretty boy. - you winked at him and then let go of his hand; you approached a middle- aged woman who luckily knew where the restaurant was.

-And? -Erik asked you as you came back.

-This way, Durm. - you practically dragged him in the direction the woman gave you and soon enough you recognized the exterior of the place you were looking for.

-Great job, (Y/N). I'm so lucky to have such a smart and beautiful girl.

-Right back at ya!

You sat down and let Erik order something for the both of you. At your surprise, he ordered the most expensive champagne and meal. Even though you loved it and it was delicious, you couldn't help but feel a little bit guilty. You never liked expensive gifts or dates or anything like that, because you were a simple girl who could be satisfied by a small gift. But Erik was spoiling you, giving you everything he had and he never regretted it.

I am so lucky to have him. He is such a generous man, lovely, bounteous,... God thank you for sending me him, you were so lost in your thoughts that you even forgot you were staring at him.

-(Y/N)?

-Huh?

-What are you thinking about?

-Nothing much, really. I am just happy.

-I am glad.

-Thank you Erik.

-For what?

-For everything. This was my dream.

-As long as we're together, I will make sure all of your dreams come true.
