Gahd I hate being late for updating a story but some things are just meant for forgetting....like updating

Seriously though I'm being piled up with school work and being expected to finish it all under a day

I got sick today so I couldn't go to school (Yippee. Just going to have to make it all up)

ANYWAYS I finally got to updating. Enjoy!

*Niall's P.O.V*

Liam showed up at my locker earlier today, and invited me to meet him up at Starbucks so we could get to know each other better. It took a lot of courage to agree, because, hey, it's my ex-bully we're talking about here. It's like agreeing to be kidnapped.

So, that's how I ended up at a Starbucks after school sitting with Liam Payne,  a.k.a the guy that used to beat me up every day.

We talked for a while, and from his words, I learned that we in fact have a lot in common! Go figure.

It got to the point where I was talking about how I realized I was gay. It was a pretty long story, and by the looks of it I'm sure he was really focusing on what I was saying. I think I even caught him staring at my lips a couple of times, and when I cleared my throat to capture his attention again, he blinked a few times and looked back up at my eyes.

By the time I finished my story, I realized how long we've been here. It was almost closing time and the sky was turning a deep afternoon mix of pink, purple and orange.

"Sorry, Liam. I have to get home before my mum freaks out on me." I explained.

"Ok, I understand." he responded with a sweet smile.

By natural instinct, I grabbed him and hugged him tight. "Thanks for listening." I whispered at him. I really meant it though, he's been paying attention from the beginning and he's a really good listener.

When he let go, I started off towards my home. I was in deep thought about our, dare I call it that, date, at Starbucks. I recalled the way he was concentrating on my story. He didn't seem bored, like you'd expect any guy to be. He seemed interested. And the way he was staring at my lips. With a sort of lovingly look. And the way we hugged, he didn't hug me too tight, or too loose, he hugged me like he was trying to protect me. Each time we made eye contact, it sent shivers down my spine, in a good way. When we hugged I didn't want to let go.

I was busted out of my thoughts when I noticed I was on my street. I can't believe I walked the 2 miles from the Starbucks to my house without calling my mum to pick me up. I am the laziest guy I know and I walked 2 miles? Odd.

I almost reached my driveway when I heard screaming. Not of panic or terror, but of joy. Who screams of joy other than-

"NIIIIIIAAAAALLL!!!!!" I was startled by Louis screaming my name while running down the pavement. (A/N: "Pavement" is what they call a sidewalk in England, for all those confused Americans out there.)  Of course the screams come from Louis.

"Where have you been after school? I came to pick you up but you weren't on the pavement like you normally are after school when I'm picking you up?" he asked in his normal voice.

"First, why did you feel the need to run down the pavement screaming my name? There are kids that live on this street to you know." I scolded.

He grinned in response.

"Second, I went to meet up Liam Payne at Starbucks."

"You mean...the Liam Payne that beat you up?" he asked me with wide eyes.

I nodded in response.

"Well shit. Did he beat you up and force something down your throat?"

"No...shockingly. We talked for a while and I told him how I turned gay and he was listening to the entire thing like his life depended on it."

"He's gonna use it against you. I just know it."

"He may has changed, he said he changed when we were getting ready to go to our second class."

"He's lying."

"Would you stop doubting him? Maybe he did."

"I still don't trust him. People don't change just like"-he snapped his fingers-"that."

"Whatever. Let's go inside, I'm freezing my balls off over here."

We stepped inside the doorway of my house, feeling the warmth against my face.

We ate dinner that my mum had cooked for us. We watched a few Disney movies that Louis had talked me into watching with him. After the movies were finished, we talked until it was 1 in the morning.

I slowly drifted off to sleep at a little past 1:30, thinking about the boy with the brown eyes that had made his way into my head, and had me seeing his face every time I closed my eyes.

Not very dramatic for a chapter ending but it was either this or plan ahead and skip a few chapters to the dramatic plot twist.

And before you expect me to tell you what the plot twist is, know this:

I am not going to mention it until I think it's the right time to put the plot twist to it.

Good luck trying to figure out what that plot twist is! :)
