Description: a little girl (or boy) is in a forest and finds a mysterious tree. She knocked on the tree and a gateway appeared. She walked through and found herself in an elven (or some other magical creature) world. She can't get out but the elves take her in and treat her like one of their own...but later in life, she thinks she is one.
(If this was me, I would probably make her go back to the human world and she finds her old family but she still thinks the elves are her people.)
