Dave knocked on the door, scared he might be rejected. It was Valentine's Day, the most romantic day in the world. In his hand he held a bouquet, red with some grey, roses. Dave wanted this moment to be perfect, the thought of rejection made him anxious. What If he was rejected? What if his dreams were crushed? What if he would never love again? He knocked once more hoping that someone was home. He heard thumping sound coming closer.
"H-hey, karkat... I- uh,"
"Oh, it's just you, Dave... Who is the lucky person?"
"Karkat, these are for you."
"Dave, I- ... What about John?"
"I don't like him that way, Karkat, I love you, and only you. "
Karkat practically pulled Dave into his house. He made sure to make Dave comfy infront of the television. "Dave, stay right here. I'm going to get a vase for these." Karkat said.
Karkat ran back into the room and slipped a rom-com movie into the DVD player. He snuggled up to Dave. As the movie ended, karkat moved closer to Dave and pulled him into a kiss.
