Gabi saw the proposal (chapter 6)

Gabi pov

Ok Josh just proposed to a girl and it wasn't me what do I do. Well right now I need to run because he is walking out here.

I jump into his office and watch as he put the pieces together and figures out it was me who cooked that meal. what is he going to think, he's going to think that I am crazy. I see him sit down and look at the food oh what is he thinking what is he thinking.

He gets up and walks upstairs, well I move the food because he will know that I saw him so I guess ill just leave it here and go home.

I walk out the door and am in the elevator when my phone starts to ring, its josh I cant answer can I, no I cant. I let it go to voice mail and then he calls again and again but then it stops i think he got the point that I don't want to talk to him.

But I'm going to have to talk to him because I need my old job back until I can find a new one because trust me I can not stay there and cook for Josh and his ne wife.

"Sofia its me and I'm sad so get the ice cream its time to cry" I yell as I walk inside of our apartment. Sofia is standing there looking sad for me like she already knew what happened. I couldn't get one word out I just started to cry she took me in her arms and held me as I cried my eyes out.

Once I was finished crying I started to explain what happened but to my surprise she already knew about everything. she told me that Josh had called asking if I was back yet. when Sofia told him yes he said that I had been to his apartment and he knew i had seen him and he was sorry but he loved Jamie and he wanted to marry her.

He also told her that he hired a new chef and I couldn't have my old job back.

Wow he didn't even want to see me, after I learned that news I got on my laptop and started looking for a new job, I found one fast called the man who was hiring he wanted a personal chef and I specialized in that.

we had an interview over the phone and I got the job.

I was already being put to the test because he was having a potential client over for dinner on Friday and it was Wednesday so I had to act fast.

This was it yes I was stressed yes josh had moved on but I already have a new job and a new life for the first time in a while I went to sleep with a smile on my face.
