"Onii-chan! Wake up onii-chan!" A five year old Yuki was trying to wake up the still unconscious Sora.

"Ne, okaasan, why won't he wake up? " Yuki asked her mother Juri Kuran who was cleaning the fresh wound on the young boys neck.

"I don't know Yuki, but you shaking him won't wake him up, he has a lot of bruises and it looks like the Level E wasn't the only thing that bit him, he has bite marks all over his arms," She sighs sadly while looking down at Sora. "Poor boy, his family must be worried sick looking for him." Juri said in the most sympathetic voice you will ever hear. Juri was unaware that Sora's step mother and siblings were the reason for all his bite marks and bruises.

As Juri continued to clean the wound on Sora's neck, the blonde boy began to stir awake. His eyes widened into panic, as he heard a female's voice talking. He was thinking it was his mother Beatrix or the awful Cordelia, he thought that his family found him and had taken him back to their mansion.

As quickly as he could, Sora jumped out of the bed and ran out the door. The young blonde frantically searched for an exit while trying not to strain himself to much after all he did lose a lot of blood. He ran around the hall looking for a door that could possibly be an exit. He hadn't even noticed he wasn't in his own mansion, he was too panicked. Sora could hear the female voices calling out, trying to convince him to come back. But he couldn't. He couldn't go back to how it was before.

Finally, Sora found a large door, and without thinking of anything except escaping, he pushes the door open. A cold breeze causes him to shudder, but Sora ignores and runs out the door. But before he can breathe a sigh of relief, he runs into something. Sora hisses as he falls into the cold snow.

"Ah, I'm so- Wait aren't you the kid from before?" Sora looks up at the unfamiliar voice. There was a boy who seemed to be in his teens, he had chocolate brown hair, and matching eyes. "Are you okay?"

"Wh-who are you?" Sora asks in a trembling voice. He was afraid that the man would be like the one from before and attack him.

"Kuran Kaname." He answers. "Are you okay?" He repeats

Sora couldn't say anything. Did that man really care wether he was okay? Sora watched the man with suspicion. "P-please don't hurt me. I'm sorry."

"Why are you apologizing? You have done nothing wrong."

"B-but I ran I-into you." Sora hated how he stuttered. It showed how weak he was.

"That was no one's fault. Now let's go back inside, you're going to catch a cold, running out here with so little to cover you up."

"But I-" Sora tried but Kaname interrupted him and pushed him back into the warm mansion. As Sora looked around he noticed he wasn't in his mansion, and he had freaked out for nothing. Sora blushed with embarrassment. Kaname lead Sora to a room with a fireplace and fancy looking furniture. Kaname then set Sora on one of the couches. He grabbed a blanket and wrapped it around the young boys shoulders

"Now tell me your last name so we can take you back to your fami-" Kaname starts before being interrupted.

"No! Please don't take me back to them! I'll do anything you say, just don't take me back to that hell!" Kaname was surprised that the young boy was begging him not to take him to his family. "They beat me and call me weak. I hate them and I can't go back there again!"

Kaname's eyes softened. The poor boy was desperate with his eyes wide and pleading. "Calm down, it's okay." Sora relaxed slightly from the calming voice. "You do not need to go back." A flash of hope had shined in the small boys eyes. "Follow me."

Sora looked at Kaname suspiciously. He could be deceiving him, this could be a trap. What if Kaname was planning to kill him? Sora said nothing to voice these thoughts, even if this was a trap, what could he do? He certainly couldn't out run the man with his tiny legs. Sora hesitantly nodded, and let Kaname lead him to the unknown destination.

Kaname led Sora to the mansion's main room. As he expected his mother, Juuri, and sister, Yuki, were sitting by the fireplace. Juuri was brushing her daughter's hair and hadn't noticed the new presence.

"Mother, Yuki." He called for their attention. Juuri and Yuki both looked up at him.

"Onii-San!" Yuki called out and ran up to her brother. "We were waiting for you!" She smiled wide showing off her white teeth.

"Hi Yuki." He smiled back down at her, and gave her a hug. She giggles and runs back to Juuri. Kaname stands up and turns to Juuri. "Mother, can you keep an eye on Sora for me? I am going to ask father if he can stay here and live with us." Juuri smiled kindly from her seat. Sora felt a warm feeling in his chest when seeing her motherly smile. He then remembered his mother, and cowered away behind Kaname.

"Of course I wouldn't mind." She says her voice gentle. Sora didn't trust her though. He didn't want to leave Kaname's side just yet, so he stayed where he was.

"Sora, I need to go. I promise I'll be right back, okay?" Kaname whispers to him. Sora looks to the ground and nods, despite how much he doesn't want Kaname to go. He slowly walks more into the room, but doesn't try to get closer to Juuri.

Kaname leaves, and Sora can't help, but feel abandoned. He slowly looks up at Juuri and Yuki, wondering what he was supposed to do next.

"Sora?" He flinches slightly and timidly looks up at Juuri. "You're shaking, you must be freezing. You'll catch a cold, come over here to the fire and warm up." Sora was surprised that Juuri was worrying about him. He slowly walks closer to where Juuri and Yuki were sitting, as if they were going to suddenly attack him.

Sora sits down close enough that he could feel the heat from the fire, but far enough from the other two so they wouldn't be in arms length. Yuki stared at him and he felt uncomfortable under her gaze. "Are you okay?" The small girl asks. "You looked reallllly sick earlier, and then you just ran away." She informs him while holding out 'really'.

"I-I'm okay." Sora responds shakily.

Yuki smiles brightly, her smile blinding Sora. "Good!" She says happily. Sora couldn't help the small smile that made it's way to his face. "I'm Yuki! And this is my mommy!" Yuki introduces her and her mother. Juuri smiles gently.

"My name is Juuri. So your name is Sora, right?" Sora answers with a small nod. "Well, it is very nice to meat you Sora." Juuri's smile widens. Sora felt the warmth from before.

"I-it's nice t-to meet you too." Sora says warily. Yuki scoots closer to him, causing Sora to scoot farther away. Yuki puffs out her cheeks into a pout, and scoots closer again. "Uhm." Sora looks up to Juuri unsure of what to do. Juuri does nothing about her daughter and smiles down at him.

"So, Sora, if you don't mind me asking how did you get all those bruises?" Juuri asked the young blonde. Sora tensed up and clenched his fist while looking down at his lap.

Should he tell her? For some reason Sora felt he could trust Juuri. She had a certain motherly feel to her, unlike Sora's own mother. Sora decided he would tell her everything.

"My s-stepmother, Cordelia, and m-my brothers would hit me for being w-weak and useless. My biological mother w-would never stop them though. My father didn't care if I died, to him I was a d-disgrace to the family."

Why did he tell them that? Now they know that he's a complete waste.

Sora doesn't look up to meet Juuri's eyes. He could imagine the look of disappointment she would have. The same look everyone else had when they looked at him. All because Sora was weak.

Suddenly, Sora felt two pairs of arms wrap around him. He jumps in fear, thinking he was about to be attacked, but there was no pain. No punches or kicks. Were they hugging him? But why? What had Sora done to get hugged for. He just told them how weak he was. That doesn't deserve a reward.

"I'm so sorry that you had to go through that." Juuri says in a cracking voice. Sora could feel his shoulder was wet. Was she crying? For him? Juuri looks at him with shining and determined eyes. "I promise you. Haruka and I will be the best parents ever. Yuki and Kaname will also be the best sibling you could ask for!" Juuri says as tears flood down her cheeks. And at that moment Sora knew he was no longer a Sakamaki and that he was safe from his biological family. This was the day the Sora Sakamaki died and Sora Kuran was born.
