She was a broken girl
Hiding behind her facade
For she was a priceless pearl
She kept it all in, even the pain and bad
He was a lost boy
He too, hides beneath his smiles
He is both coy and not
His heart bruised and battered
They were, in a way, two broken souls
Hard to heal but not impossible
And they didn't expect to fall
Their love, like a hot burning coal
