A mind that's numb
Words it didn't want to comprehend
A heart so completely frozen
A dreamlike state it didn't want to end
A soul who wouldn't succumb
A goodbye so brazen
For a moment she stopped breathing
And tears wouldn't stop falling
Sorrow had rendered her mute
Silence and darkness
A warmth that scoots
And her, at the brink of madness
