(I love writing Loki chapters! There's just so much you can do with him! Ugh I love him so much. Okay rant over, enjoy!)
****Very light fluff in this chapter. Enjoy****I sigh as a servant leaves my quarters, tired of being locked away in this place. I feel more like a prisoner than a guest. Don't get me wrong, everything is beautiful, but it gets old after a week of seeing nothing else but the same thing. I sit in the bay window and look out at the town I've been itching to explore, wondering when I'll meet the princes'. See, I'm supposed to chose and marry one of them so they can take the throne but at this rate, it probably won't happen anytime soon
My eyes land on a familiar figure. He stands out from the others as he's in mostly black and a beautiful emerald green, a few gold accent pieces here and there. His black hair always perfectly slicked back, making him look paler than the others. He always visited the library, leaving with a new book everyday. I sighed to myself as I watched him walk the streets towards the castle. Maybe he's a delivery boy? He looks up at my window and I swear he looks at me, but from this distance who knows. He looks away quickly and disappears into the castle. He's always the highlight of my day. Weird, I know, but I look forward to seeing him walk the streets, I get envious of him
"Miss Willow?" Another servant peaks through my door a few minutes later. I sigh once more, thinking it's another check up or them asking me if I'd like a drink, turning to face them. To my shock, it was the man from the streets I just saw, standing next to the servant. He was even more stunning in person, though he wore a few faint scars on his face
"Thank you, I'll take it from here." He speaks smoothly to the servant. His voice is like velvet. The servant bows her head and leaves. I stand and take a step towards the man, giving him a hello curtsy. He gives a gentlemanly bow
"I hear you are the guest that arrived a few days ago?" He speaks with a hint of a question. I nod
"I arrived last week."
"How do you like Asgard so far?" He asks looking around my bedroom. I pause for a moment, debating on how to word my next sentence politely
"Sadly, I haven't been able to explore any of it. I've been stuck here." I motion around my room. He lets out a low chuckle, looking back at me. My knees almost go weak as his eyes stare into mine
"That's typical of Odin. Would you like to go for a stroll?" He asks. I fiddle with my fingers as a magical sensation fills my body. Somethings telling me I should trust this stunning man. I nod slowly as a smile plays at both our lips. He pushes the door open and I step out cautiously. He follows closely and shuts the door behind us
"Don't be nervous, Miss Willow." He speaks as we walk down the endless golden hall. How did he know I was nervous?
"I'm only nervous of running into the king or one of the princes' I suppose." I shrug and look at my surroundings as he contains a smile, taking in all the beauty, all the colors and smells
Have I mentioned that this man is beautiful? Because he is. From the way he walks, talks, his eyes, hair, every feature on him is flawless. How did such a beautiful creature end up having to spend time with me? I blush as he catches me staring and quickly look away
"What do you like to do in your spare time Miss Willow?" He asks as we pass an opening overlooking a library. I pause and stare into the room. My eyes must have been the size of the moon. All those books, that knowledge, and I can't read any of it
"Well, I like to ride horses, and read, and uh.." I start but trail off as I realize how boring I must sound. "I typically keep to myself actually. Festivities were never in my interest." I shrug and look at him. He's already looking at me with an expression I couldn't quiet figure out
"Sounds like fun to me." He smirks. I blush as we stare at one another. He clears his throat a moment later, "would you like to go for a ride Miss Willow?" He asks. He must have seen the joy in my face because he smiled widely and put a hand out for me to grab. I took it gently and followed him swiftly down a corridor. My heart was racing as I followed this beautiful man through an enormous horse stable
He picked out a midnight black horse with emerald green reigns and gold hooves. Must be his personal steed? I took the one next to him which was a very dark Crimson with pure white reigns. I loved horse riding. It always relaxed me and made me feel free. Without realizing it, I was galloping out of the stables and into a nearby field. The man chuckled and followed close behind me. We ended up strolling through the town for a long time, I took in all the shops, colors, homes, caverns, smells, people. Everything. It was wonderful. I also learned about Prince Thor from a few people, though he doesn't sound like a good suitor for me. I sighed as we trotted through an open field, the sun setting on the horizon making everything around us somehow more beautiful than before
"I don't want to go back to the castle.. Heaven knows when I'll ever meet the princes'." I huff, looking at the beautiful man I've gotten to know so much about today. Except his name. I feel so dumb for not asking but it's a little late now
"The Queen must be looking for you, sadly we must." He speaks steadily. I nod and we go back to the stables. I tie the reigns of my steed to the gate and turn to the stunning man next to me
"Thank you for today, but I never caught your name." We start walking towards the main hall. He smirks and looks down at me as he's nearly a foot taller than me
"Loki Odinson," he speaks. I freeze in my tracks. HES one of the princes'?! How stupid he must think I am
"Your heinous, I am so sorry." I bow and try to hide my embarrassment. He chuckles
"Do not be embarrassed Miss Willow. It's perfectly alright." He touches my cheek, sending a magical sensation throughout my entire body, my nerves easing. I blush as we continue to walk back to my corridor. I still feel humiliated though, I spent an entire day with a prince, without realizing it
"Thank you again for today Prince Loki. And my sincerest apologies again." I gently push on my door as I speak. He simply bows before taking my hand and bringing it to his cool lips. I blush as he places a gentle kiss on the back of my hand
"Till tomorrow?" He speaks with a hint of question in his voice. I couldn't help but smile ear to ear. He wants to see me again!
"I'd very much like that," I bite my lip as he smiles at me
"Sleep well, Willow." He bows and steps away. I curtsy and step into my quarters, gently shutting the door. After calming down from the excitement from the day, I decide to call it a night, changing into my sleeping gown and tossing the beautiful Crimson silk sheets over me and falling into a deep peaceful sleep
I dreamt of Prince Loki, us riding horses through all of Asgard, sharing meals in a cavern, laughing, reading, falling in love. Everything felt so real and magical. I think I found the man I want to marry.
