Chapter 6

"So.. When are we going to start our project?" I asked Tori.

"When do you wanna start?" She turn to me and asked.

"How about today?"

"Okay. So where are we meeting? Your house or my house?"

"My house, if you want to?"

"Okay, after school then?"

I nodded.

Thank god it was home time. I waited outside the school for Tori while she was inside getting something from her. Then she came out.

"My dad is coming to pick us up okay?" I told her.

She nodded. After few minutes my dad came. He got out of the car and hugged me tightly.

"D-dad can't b-breath!"

He chuckled "how was school?"

"Good"

I glazed over Tori and saw that sadness in her eyes. I got confused.

"Oh! Dad this is Tori my friend and Tori this is my dad!" I introduced them.

"Hello Mr Sung!" Tori greeted my dad in English and bowed.

My dad was shocked for a moment and then greeted her back.

"So... Punk how did you made a British friend" My dad said.

Me and Tori chuckled.

"It's a long story dad"

After few minutes we had reached the home. I got out of the car along with Tori. She looked at our house with an out mouth.

"Woah! Your house is beautiful." Tori said.

"Thanks"

We went inside and my mom and grandma greeted us.

"Hello sweetly, how was school? "Mom asked me and than noticed Tori. "Oh! Is this your friend?"

"Yes school was good and yup, this is Tori" I introduced her.

"Hello Mrs Sung!" Tori greeted and bowed.

"Hello darling! What a beautiful girl!"

Tori blushed and then greeted my grandma.

"Okay, now go and wash up while I prepare the lunch for both of you. You both must be hungry."

We both nodded and went to my room.

"Hey! Tori have you called your parents and told them that you are at my house?"

"No, I am about to call my grandparents"

"Why grandparents?"

"I live with them"

"Oh okay, I am going to change Kay?"

She nodded and I went inside my washroom. In the washroom I could hear her talking. I came outside and give her some comfortable clothes to wear. Then we went for lunch. After lunch we started our project.

"Hey, I prepared some questions take a look"

She took the paper and looked.

"They are good, let's answer them?"

"Okay, you start"

We started asking questions. And then a question.

"What do your parent do?" I asked Tori.

Suddenly she furrowed and answered "my parents are dead"

I became quiet " I am sorry"

"It's okay, it is not your fault"

"I think the questions are done, we only have to write them in essay now" Tori said.

"Yeah"

"I think I should go my grandparent must be waiting"

"Okay I will drop you home"

"No no it's okay my house isn't far, I will go on a bus"

"Are you sure?"

"Yup, I am going bye!"

"Bye! Oh wait can I get your number please?"

"Sure" We both exchanged numbers.

"See you tomorrow!" I waved at her.
