Keely felt movement beside her in the bed, she immediately jumped up in shock. Immediately regretting the sudden movement she lay back down gripping her head, "fuck Ada, what did I drink" Ada rolled over laughing "I can't remember coming home, Nevermind what you drank" Keely began to laugh, "well I should probably head back to the b&b and get ready for work" she groaned as she stood up stretching to crack her bones. "That is a vile noise" Ada said covering her ears, Keely laughed "feels good though" Ada laughed "do you know your way out?" "I'm sure I'll find it, don't worry I'll see you later" Keely said as she closed the door behind her. She made her way quietly down the stairs, as she walked through the kitchen a voice suddenly spoke startling Keely. She spun around to see a man standing smirking with one arm perched on the arch of the house "oh hello, you must be one of Ada's brothers" She smiled, "that I am" he smirked "what's your name darling?" "I'm Keely" she spoke confidently extending her hand, he took her hand and placed his lips on her knuckles "beautiful name for a beautiful creature" he winked, "I'm John" Keely blushed as he continued to stare at her, "well John it was nice meeting you but I must really be on my way, I'll be late for work" she smiled warmly. "Alright, I'll be seeing you later Keely" he smirked as he noticed her avoiding eye contact with him. She turned and went out the door without turning back.
She walked slowly towards the b&b as she had no energy to rush, as she entered the b&b she could her Mary chuckling "good night my dear" Keely sighed "too good I think Mary, and now I have to go to work" mary smiled warmly "oh no dear, Karen rang last night and said she won't be back for at least another week." Keely immediately brightened up "thank god! I need a wash and sleep" Mary laughed "off you go dear, I won't bother you for the rest of the day" Keely smiled "thank you Mary, I don't know what I'd do without you." Mary smiled as she watched Keely climb the stairs to her room.

Later that night Keely decided to go to the church to light some candles before heading to the garrison to find Ada and Polly. As she entered the church she noticed an older man with a moustache holding a bottle of whiskey, she smiled kindly at him and made her way to the alter. As she lit four candles she heard some shuffling, as she turned she noticed the man had stood up and was looking directly at her, "are you okay?" She asked "I'm fine love, don't worry about me" he smiled "I'm Arthur by the way" Keely smiled "you must be Ada's brother, I'm Keely" "Keely? So your the girl John hasn't shut his mouth about" he chuckled, Keely blushed, "well I'd say I'm probably the only Keely about here, so yes that must be me" she laughed, Arthur chuckled "so are you heading to the garrison tonight love?" "I am actually, I was hoping to find Ada and Polly there" she smiled as she walked towards him, "well then you best come with me, don't want a pretty lady like you walking alone" she offered her his arm, she held on to his arm as they walked to the garrison.
When they finally reached the garrison, Arthur opened the door for Keely "thank you Arthur" she smiled "no problem love, I'll see you later" he smiled warmly. As Keely made her way towards Polly and Ada at the bar she heard Arthur shouting "Oi John, I found that Keely girl isn't she something" Keely laughed to herself as she walked up to the women. "Hello ladies" Keely smiled, Ada immediately hugged her "how was work?" Polly asked whilst chuckling, "didn't have to go, thank god Karen is gone for the week" she laughed. Polly offered Keely a cigarette which she kindly accepted, they began to speak and laugh about the men surrounding them. Suddenly a song came on and Ada jumped to her feet "this is my favourite song, Keely dance with me" Keely laughed as she put her cigarette out "okay okay" she chuckled. Keely and Ada were too busy dancing to notice the doors of the pub open, Tommy entered the pub with his head held high and a cigarette between his lips he easily made his way through the crowd as people parted for him. He made his way towards Polly and sat at the table "drinking alone I see" Polly looked at him "no, I'm here with Ada and Keely" Tommy was curious to find out who this Keely girl was, he didn't like strangers. He began scanning the pub in search of Ada, suddenly his eyes settled on a beautiful woman with dark brown hair and emerald green eyes, laughing and smiling like she hadn't a care in the world. Polly watched her nephew whilst smirking "she's like a movie star, isn't she" Tommy turned to Polly with an emotionless expression "she's alright" but he knew she was by far the most beautiful woman he had ever set eyes on, but he'd rather die than let Polly know that.
