Ambiguous fate

Chapter five

The three girls woke up to find the mikaelson's not next to them. But special Elena found a note left by Elijah.
My dearest Elena,
I apologise for leaving without telling you, but i did not want to wake you.
Me and my brothers are going out for a few hours.
Elijah

They got dressed and met in the library.
"I wonder where they have gone?" Caroline asks her sisters.
"Hopefully they won't come back." Estella says with a hint of hope in her voice.
"I don't know the note didn't say much, just that he is sorry and I'm his dearest Elena." Elena says dreamily.

Caroline and Estella look at each other and roll their eyes.
"If you're wondering where they've gone, I know.
It is nothing important they just agree that they will
meet once a week to discuss how everything is going." Rebekah says appearing once again out of no where. "They should be back soon." She tells them.

"Why where you missing us" Kol says walking through the door.
"We have decided that today we are going to spend the day with each other." Klaus tells us "Caroline come on." He says while dragging her from her chair and out the room.
"I can walk perfectly fine without your assistance." She snaps at him and He just ignores her.

Elijah holds out his hand to Elena? Which she reluctantly takes and as they where walking out he asks "so Elena what would you like to do today?"

Kol looks at Estella, who is sat down pulling a dirty look from where Elena just walked from.
"So Stella, what should I do with you?" Kol asks.
"You're making me sound like a small child who your babysitting for the day." Estella remarks to him.

"You are far from a small child darlin" he says while eyeing her body.
She huffs and slumps back in her chair staring out the window. She wanted to go to the pond but not with him.
"So love, are you coming or are you just going to sit here and think all day?" He says holding out his hand for her to take.
She looks at it in disgust and turns her head away and carries on thinking. He growls and grabs her arm, roughly pulling her out the room ignoring her struggle and protests.

Caroline's POV
"Ow, klaus you're hurting me" I shout "not all of us are vampires you know"
He loosens his grip but still holds on to my arm.
"Where are we going?" I ask.
"This is the most you've ever said to me, are you feeling okay, love?" He asks. I can practically feel his smug smirk.

"Do you notice that we always answer each other's questions with questions?" I ask, curious as to why that happens. But also I secretly like out conversations.
"Maybe it's because we don't want to end our conversation." Klaus smugly says.
I just tut in response. "So where are we going?" I repeat.

"Do you like horses?" He answers with another question.
I smile, "yes, I love horses." I say.
He returns the smile, that's the first. "Good, because we're going horse riding for the day." He says.
I can't even stop the big smile on my face from getting even bigger.

Elena's POV
"So Elena what would you like to do today?" Elijah asks me.
He is so kind and well mannered. I can't help but smile and relax in his presence and I've only knew him for two days.
"Well, I would like to get to know you Elijah. How about going for a walk around the garden, it is a lovely day today?" I ask. I really did want to know about him. His past, likes, hobbies. He is a thousand years old he must be a very interesting person.

"That sounds lovely Elena, I would love to get to know you." He says.
Oh no I'm not interesting.
He is going to find me so bori...
"Are you okay Elena? What is the matter?" He asks with concern.
