Ch. 2 - The Man Behind All Might

A/N: I really apologize for the late delays I've put on my story. But never fear, I slowly plan on udpating this story for those who still have hope for this. >0< It will take a while but I promise to do my best on updating this!

She slowly woke up to a warm hand softly slapping her cheek in a rhythmic pace.

"Hey, kid! Wake u-Ah, THANK GOD," a relieved voice said just as her eyelids fluttered open.

......

Her dazed, green eyes stared up into a tan face with sunken eyes hidden under furrowed, blonde brows and a sparkling open-teeth smile that looked just like...ALL MIGHT!?

"HOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!?" she shrieked in shock, adrenaline pumping through her body like lightning as she feverishly skittered away from the man.

Lots of thoughts ran through her head as she watched the man straighten himself up.

'How on Earth is All Might standing before me and how can I still be conscious oh my god I think I can finally rest in peace now that I've seen All Might with my very own eyes an-' Such thoughts repeated themselves in an ongoing cycle while All Might had spoken some words to her.

"...I usually don't make any rookie mistakes like this, but, well..." He plopped a hand on his hip and placed the other on his forehead as if to block the sun.

"Maybe I have to let myself go a little since I'm in a strange land, and that the capture was made 'off-screen'?"

Mizuku numbly watched him pulled out two large plastic bottles of soda that were filled to the brim with a gooey green substance and were those eyes she saw just now?!

"Anyway, it's thanks to you that I have succeeded, so thank you!!! I did a 'check-mate' without a problem at the end!!!" he boldly proclaimed with a thrust of the bottle forward for the girl to examine.

She gulped, suddenly realizing just how much her throat hurt when swallowing her spit and she could have sworn she smelled a hint of smoke but dismissed the thought quickly when spotting her notebook.

"Ah! I forgot!" she sputtered, her head almost spinning and pigtails flying as she looked for her notebook.

"Where are my notes for him to...Aha!" She made a noise of triumph when finding said notebook and skimmed through the pages to find a blank page when she spotted it.

He had already signed her notebook, his large bold signature having taken up two pages.

"WOOOOOOOOOOAHHHHHHHHHHHH!" she squealed and stood to bow at him. "T-THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!! I WILL MAKE THIS A FAMILY HEIRLOOM OR A FAMILY TREASURE!!!" 

The man simply laughed and turned to leave as he spoke a few words of goodbye. "Well, I have to take him to the post now! Be sure to check out my exploits on LCD TV, kiddo!!"

She straightened up and almost hesitated to speak up, her eyes growing even wider as she watched his retreated back.

"Huh...already?! But I-I still..." she mumbled, taking a few steps forwards.

'There's so much I want...to ask for you...please...'

All Might crouched himself into position. "You know, professionals must constantly fight against time and evil. With that, I am counting on you to continue in the future..."

With a gulp, Mizuku let her legs move forwards with nimble steps that soon turned into sprints just as he leaped up and went airborne.

"-TO SUPPORT ME!!!"
