Chapter Twelve: Meeting Her Family

A/N: Sorry for the wait I was on vacation and didn't update until now. I didn't mean to keep you all waiting, please forgive me. I would've updated, but my family kept me away. So here's your chapter, please forgive me on how badly this was made.

*Timeskip Three Months*
*Catiplier's POV*

After the carnival I became nervous of the upcoming events with (Y/N)'s family. I'm finally going to meet them and I'm afraid they'll hate me. (Y/N) said her family are very nice people other then her father. Apparently he has a short temper and fights with any guy that gets close to (Y/N). Hopefully he doesn't beat be me into a pulp. "Cat, do you need help with packing? You seem a little out of it today." "I'm just nervous about your family..." "Don't worry Cat, I'll be by your side no matter what." (Y/N) said softly as she hugged me close. I purred a little as she scratched behind my ears to make me feel better. "But what about my ears and tail? Won't they freak out? Do you want me to hide them?" "Well, I know they'll be surprised about you being part cat... but I want you to hide them when we leave the house. Once we arrive to my family's house, I want you to wait." "Okay... I hope your father won't kill me. I have a feeling that he'll hate my guts with just one look, especially with the ears and tail." I said as I hug her back. I hear her sigh and look up at me. "As I said, I'll be by your side no matter what. If my father doesnt like you, so be it, I'll love you either way. I doesn't matter what my family say if they don't expect you, I just want them to see the one I love the most." She said before kissing me. "Now, let's get to the airport, we have an hour before our flight leaves." "Okay." With that said we left.

*Timeskip After Flight*

Getting off the plane, we grabbed our luggage and met her family at the entrance waiting. "(Y/N)! It's good to see you again! How have you be- who is this?" "Mom calm down, I'm been doing fine in LA. And for him, this is Charles, my boyfriend." "Your boyfriend... that can't be, then how come you never told us about him?" "Because I wanted to wait until now to let you guys meet him. Besides where's dad?" (Y/N) said just as a tall, bulky man appeared. "(Y/N) it's been a while. It's nice to see you come home." The man said as he hugged her. "I know dad, it's been a while. Anyway, I want you to meet Charles, my boyfriend." (Y/N) said with a smile. 'THAT'S HER FATHER! OH GOD I'M SO DEAD!' "Boyfriend? And when did you start dating him? *whispers* He looks a little scrawny and shy, where did you find this guy?" "DAD! Don't say that, he's a fine man that I love! Don't be so rude to him!" She said angrily as I look away in shyness. 'Great, now her father thinks I'm little and weak. I'm never going to be able to marry her at this point, but I'm not going to give up.' I thought as I grabbed my luggage and hers before following her family. "Why don't you let me help you Charles. The luggage seems a bit to much for you." "I-I'm fi-fine Mr.(L-L/N), I-I've g-got i-it." "I doudt that, and man up for crying out loud. You're supposed to be a man, act like one. At this point you might as well be a girl." He said in annoyance before taking (Y/N)'s luggage leaving me in shock. ' He doesn't like me... I've already made a bad impression on him, but the others seem to like me... I hope I have a chance.' I sigh as I follow quickly putting my stuff in the trunk and sitting next to (Y/N) in the back. On our way to their home, her father kept a close eye on me and glared every time I shrank into (Y/N)'s side. Once home, I grab my luggage with (Y/N) while following her to our room. See her family made it worse, three brothers and two sisters were waiting for us. "Charles, theses are my siblings. The oldest boy is Peter, the second oldest Ken, and the youngest is Joey. The sisters are Rose and Lilly who are twins. They won't mess with you if you are only nice to them." "O-okay then. I-I wasn't going to be r-rude to anyone." I say as the siblings gathered around me.
The two oldest boys watched me closely as the younger siblings started tugging at my jeans. "Hello, are you are sisters boyfriend? If so, could you play with us?" "Yes, I'm (Y/N) boyfriend. I don't mind playing with you all after I have my stuff put away." "Okay! Wow (Y/N), you actually found a nice guy! The last one was rude and didn't want to play with us." "I never dated anyone before, and Evan was just a friend! He doesn't like little kids!" (Y/N) said in annoyance before dragging me into a bedroom with pale (f/c) walls. "Was this your room?" "Yes it was before I moved out. When I was younger me and Peter would play games in here. Peter is only two years younger then me. So at the time, we only got along with each before Ken came. Once he came, Peter would stay with him leaving me alone." (Y/N) said quietly as set her stuff away. Putting away my luggage I was quickly dragged into the living room to play some video games with Rose, Lily, and Joey. I never played video games before, but I could try for there sake. After some time of playing Mortal Kombat X, I actually got decent on the game. Mostly playing as Sub-Zero I used Ice Brust, Ice Ball, and Deep Freeze to somewhat win against Joey. "Kids lunch is ready, and Charles dear could you go get (Y/N)? I'm sure she's either in her room or outside relaxing on the porch." "Yes ma'am." I said politely to her before searching for here. Checking outside, (Y/N) was watching the sky as she seemed in thought. "(Y/N) lunch is ready. Are you okay?" "Huh? Oh, nothings wrong. I'm just thinking of our past, you were so adorable when we first meet and now you're handsome more then ever." She said as I blushed from her comment. "Anyway, let's eat some lunch. Once all that's done we can watch a movie with the family." "Okay. As long as it's not to gory, last time we watched one, I ended up passing out." "Aw, don't worry it'll probably be something romantic or funny." (Y/N) chuckled as we went inside to the dinning room were her family was. They were all watching us as we seated with a glare from her father. "And what took so long?" "We just started talking about the past." "Hmm... I see. Just don't try anything while your here Charles." "Dad, he's not like that! Would you stop embarrassing me and him!" She looked away with a small blush and my face went red with my ears shifting my beanie a bit. "And is he still wearing that hat, we're not outside. He looks like a complete idiot when he's wearing that." "Dad, don't take off his be-" (Y/N) tried to stop her father but he had already taken off my beanie with my ears showing.

Everyone stared at me in shock as he looked at my ears. "... what... what the hell? What are you?" "Dad calm down, I can exp-" "Quiet (Y/N)! I will have words with you Charles, and you are going to explain to me what you are." He said with a growl before grabbing me and leading me into the living room. Once alone I have him a nervous look as he glared at me with an impatient look. "I'm waiting." "Oh, uh, right. You see... it's a confusing story I gotta say and..." "Quit stalling and speak before I throw you out of this house and never let you see my daughter again." Just by his mood, I could tell this was serious about (Y/N). "... look, when me and your daughter first meet... I was a cat, it was around night time and I had no where to go. I started calling out for help until she found me. (Y/N) took me back to her place to clean me up and gave me a home. At first I was confused why she'd help, but after spending many months with her I realized she was just kind and sweet with everyone she meet." "I see... but that doesn't explain how you are human. And why would my daughter date a cat..." "Oh, right umm... you could say I made a wish upon a star to make me human to stay with her longer. I know cats have short lives and I didn't want to leave her alone when my time was going to come. After I became human, we were just friends until we started to have feelings develop between us. Though at the time I was still trying to get used to my new body, I wrote down my feelings for her one day while she was out doing work. At first, I was afraid of being rejected by her, but she had the same feelings for me... form that day forward we stayed by each others side making sure we were both happy. I remember that when we first went on a date, I got embarrassed by everyone watching us, calling me a wierdo and a cat freak..." "So you're telling me, you made a wish to be human for my daughter, wrote your feelings for her on a note, and went on date with her even though people thought you were a freak... and I'm guessing your name isn't even Charles." "No sir, before I became human, she named me Catiplier. Seeing as it's not a normal name once I became human, she went with Charles so it would be easy." "Well I can see why she'd give you a different name, Catiplier is just a strange name to give. My question is, why did she name you after that YouTuber?" "What YouTuber?" "And she didn't even tell you? She watches him every day, his channel name is Markiplier. When she was younger, she'd talk about him all the time long with another YouTuber by the name jacksepticeye or something like that. I guess she's still into watching their videos after all this time. Anyway, me and my wife will have a decision about... you." He said while looking at my ears once again beforeheading back into the dinning room where everyone was waiting for us. Sitting down awkwardly, we eat lunch without a single word spoken.

After lunch was finished I went back into (Y/N)'s room to hide from her family (Y/N) to comfort me. "Cat, please calm down. I know they saw your cat ears and my father questioned you, but you're okay." "No it's not (Y/N). Your family probably thinks I'm a freak now, I should've stayed home so your family wouldn't see me like this." I sniffled quietly as I hide under the covers while she sat besides me. "Cat... no matter what they think or say, I'll always see you as my perfect, handsome boyfriend and soon to be husband. You are what makes me happy and I wouldn't change anything about you." She said softly as she moved to covers from my face to see it in tears. Kissing my forehead she hugged me close as add he started to calm me down when a knock came from the door. "(Y/N), Charles... can you come to the loving room for a moment, we would like to talk with both." Her father said as he quickly left. Looking at (Y/N) nervously we went to the living room to see everyone there. Sitting down he sighed at us. "Okay... here's the deal, you will be allowed to be with my daughter Charles, but it's your responsibility to make sure nothing happens to her. And (Y/N), if it's true that both want to get married I will also allow it only on one condition, you must never tell anyone of your story of how you both met each other, you must make up a different story if anyone ask. For Charles cat ears and tail, just say that it was a birth defect that caused him to have them. That is all we have to say which leaves one last thing. Charles because you have treated my daughter with all the utmost respect that no man could show for her, you have my blessing." With that the family went on with their day as I sat there shocked. 'First her father didn't like me, then the family finds out I'm a cat, and then he gives me his blessing to marry (Y/N)... wow, a lot of things can happen in one day. One minute I'm doubting myself and then the next I'm shocked/happy.' I thought as (Y/N) hugged me. "Cat, I knew my family would like you when they see who you truly are. And what's perfect is that my father even gave you his blessing." "I know, I was afraid that it would end badly. I'm glad that I'll be able to marry you because I don't know what I'd do without you." I smile as I kiss her. 'Now, the only thing left to do is plan the wedding...'
