Brad POV

I walked out of the bedroom ready to hit the beach. I was looking all around the house for Kels, but she was nowhere to be found. I finally realized I had not checked outside. Of course she was out there, setting up our chairs. I watched her from the porch as she laid a blanket on my chair and then laid a blanket on hers.

I was going to ask her tonight to be my girlfriend, to finally make things official. It will be the greatest birthday present. I will finally be able to call her mine, and I will be hers. I have always wanted this, and now it's happening. I love that I am falling in love with my best friend. It is the greatest feeling.

"Are you going to just stand there all day?!" she yelled up to me from the beach. "Get your butt to the beach!"

I laughed and started jogging towards her. Once I got close enough I lofted her over my shoulder and started running towards the ocean.

"Brad oh my gosh I have my phone. Please let me put it down!"

Caving I let her run up and set her phone down. She always had not taken her cover-up off, so she took off her mint dress revealing her grey bikini. She looked gorgeous per usual. She slowly made her way to my side, and laced our fingers together.

"Ready?!" She was beaming with excitement. I started running, pulling her behind me. Once the water was up to our shoulders I pulled her to me.

"Jump," I whispered in her ears. She knew what to do. She wrapped her legs around my torso, like a little bear. I rested my hands under her bum, to give her some support. I mean it also gave an excuse to touch her butt.

Her hands were playing with the hairs at the nape of my and she said, "What are you thinking about birthday boy?"

"How my hands are all over your butt." Winking at her.

She threw her head back laughing. "Brad are you kidding?!"

"What you have a nice butt!"

"You are such a goon!" she began splashing me with water.

"Oh no!" I dropped her from my arms and began to splash her back.

"Brad, ahh" she screamed. She was adorable. Always has been.

She swam under the water and popped up right in front of my face with the cheekiest grin.

"So you give up?" I asked her

She nodded and I slowly started to pull her into a kiss when she spit water all over my face. My jaw dropped and I just wiped the water off of my face. Kelsey was laughing like a crazy person; you could tell she was so proud of herself.

"Come here," I grabbed her waist pulling her close to me. "You can't just deny me of kiss like that. It is my birthday after all."

She crashed her soft lips into mine. I wanted to kiss her forever. She pulled away and whispered, "I'm sorry" into my ear sending chills down my whole spine.

"What are the plans for the rest of the day?"

"Well I think we shall stay at the beach for a while, then I'm making you dinner, and then surprises."

"Surprises, eh?" I winked.

"Oh hush," she giggled and pecked my lips.

I couldn't wait for tonight. I couldn't wait to ask her to be mine. That in itself will make this the greatest birthday ever.
