Mates?

Scarlett's P.O.V
I walked down the stairs and stepped into the party room. As I stepped inside I was overwhelmed by the most amazing scent ever, but before I could decipher it I was overtaken by hugs and kisses. "Happy birthday babes" my best friend Piper said to me. I thanked her and we went to dance. I felt a pair if hands on my waist as I danced but didn't take much notice to it and kept dancing.
      That is until I felt my partner be ripped away from me harshly.
I spun around quickly and stopped dancing.
The smell was back.
And it was coming from the man who was currently beating the crap out of the guy I was just dancing with.
I finally found my voice and started trying to pull the man off of him "STOP" I yelled,tears were now falling down my face.
The man finally looked up at me and his eyes softened for just a second. He stood up and pulled me close, burying his face in my neck and inhaling.
"Mine" he said in my ear.
"Yours" I said trying to calm him  down. I looked at Piper and gave her a look.  She immediately understood and grabbed some people to help her carry in my partners body.
I finally got a good look at my mates face as he pulled away from me. He looked familiar, I just couldn't figure  out where I'd seen him before.
A boy around 22 came out of nowhere with his arm around my brother and stopped in front of me.
"Hey sis" he slurred. He was definitely drunk. "I see you've found your mate" he giggled. "This hunk right here is my mate" he said pointing at the brown haired man next to him. The man looked adoringly at my brother before looking at me." I'm Lucas" he said softly while shaking my hand.
"Scarlett" I introduced myself. I smiled at the two of them, Seth looked so happy with Lucas. I gave my attention back to my mate and blushed, he was very handsome,he caught me staring and smirked. "Lucas please escort my mate to her room so that she can pack her bags" he said. "Pack my bags?" I thought. He seemed to understand what I was thinking and spoke to me." You will be moving in with me Scarlett" he spoke to me softly. "Who does he think he is" I thought."I'm not-" my thoughts were interrupted by a blinding pain throughout my body. I screamed and the music shut off. My bones felt like they were breaking and it was painful.
"Hi Scarlett" a voice in my head said.
" Who are you?" I asked.
"I'm your wolf," she said, " My name is Sapphire"
My wolf ?
