New Friend

Gray's P.O.V.

Finally! Natsu is done explaining! I have a hard time thinking of our Gajeel hurting a girl. Especially Lucy Heartfelia. I don't know her or anything but she's quiet and smart. And Gajeel actually hurt Natsu for helping her.

"Wow" is all I can manage to say. "You think she'll show up today?" I ask.

"No idea" he says. I see a new boy enter rumors say his name is Sting Eucliffe. This boy transfered from a nearby academy.

Then I see her...Lucy Heartfelia enter with her bluenette friend Levy Mcgarden.

She seems to have a bruise in her cheek and seems to lightly hold her side. They walk over to Mirajane Strauss, Juvia Loxar and Erza Scarlett. Lucy seems nervous and looks around with her eyes. Her eyes connect with mine. They stay there for some time and she looks away. There is something familiar about this girl. I think I know her. I don't know why.

"Lets go" he says as Gajeel enters.

"Dude are you gonna walk away?...Natsu forget that...don't give him the satisfaction..." I say. Natsu can be really stuborn. If he walks away Gajeel will pin point him if he does. Gajeel walks directly over to Lucy. Lucy panicks and Gajeel twists her wrist. Natsu looks away and closes his eyes.

Gajeel hits her face and he yells at her friends to leave. All of them do. Even Levy who's said to be her best friend. He planed this...no wonder the halls are so empty. She starts to cry and freak out. I start to walk over and Natsu holds me back.

"Don't try to be a bad-ass" he says probably remembering what happened.

Lucy's P.O.V.

All of my friends left! Even Levy! I cry and try to get away from his grip.

I see a black haired boy coming towards us but is held back by Natsu who's face I can't see.

Gajeel hits my side and I drop to the ground instantly. The black haired boy comes anyway.

"Gajeel! Stop!" He yells.

"Butt out Gray...or you'll end up like Natsu...he can't even look at me anymore...now get the hell out now!"

"Fine as soon as you tell me what did she do to deserve this from you!"

"Her father...killed mine...she's a bi-!"

"Woah!...this has nothing to do with her...she didn't ask her father to kill yours...she didn't ask her father to be an ass...leave her alone because she didn't do anything to you...and you know Natsu didn't do anything this time but next time Natsu, Jellal and me won't hesitate to end you...Got it?!"

Gajeel stomps off. I cry holding my side.

"Are you ok?" I look up to see the boy's eyes. He offers me his hand. I grab it and he pulls me into a standing position. I let go of his hand.

I break down. I cry and then feel an embrace. I open my eyes to find Gray hugging me and stroking my hair.

"It's all over now" he whispers in a calm tone. I calm down and stop crying. I break the embrace. This boy doesn't know me and stood up for me. So did Natsu. I thought they were part of the jerk club but now it seems different. They stood up for me while my friends ran in fear.

"I'm Gray Fullbuster" he says in a serious tone but grins lightly.

"Lucy Heartfelia...nice to meet you Gray" I smile at him as I wipe the last tear.

"Nice to meet you too...this is Natsu Dragneel..." he says as Natsu walks over to him looking at the ground.

"I'm Natsu" he says looking at me in the eyes.

"Sorry for not standing up for you just a few minutes ago" he frowns.

"It's ok...thank you for saving me yesterday...and Gray thanks for that...thank you both and i'm sorry for making you go through all that trouble"

"Our pleasure" says Gray. "You know we wouldn't mind if you ate lunch with us today..."

"Yeah...we'd love to have lunch with you Lucy" says Natsu agreeing with Gray.

"Well...i'd love to"

Time skip: Period before lunch

I sit next to Juvia. My friends haven't even looked at me after what happened. I can't believe them. Gray is also in this class he sits with Jellal Fernandes.

"Juvia's sorry for running away because Juvia was scared!" Juvia blurts out. Gray stands up and talks to the teacher. The teacher nods.

He waves me over. Then walks over to Jellal who stands and walks to my seat. I walk over to Gray.

"You'll be sitting with me now" says Gray grinning lightly. I smile and sit next to Gray.

"Alright class as most of you know there is a new student in the school...he will be assisting this class from now on...welcome Sting Eucliffe"

Wait! Did I hear right!? My eyes widen as I see his purple eyes scan the crowd(I don't know if they're purple or a similar color...if they're not purple please let me know!). Oh god please don't look at me! He stops once he sees me and I look at my hands. Please don't know who I am!

"Hey Lucy you doing ok?" whispers Gray.

I nod.

"Is he still looking at me?"

"He just sat down" he says.

Thank god! Maybe he did recognize me and is waiting to greet me later...oh this is bad news...wait a second!
