"This is so awesome!!" Kine said after leaving the cabin "We all missed you so much! especially me and Nico."

"I missed Nico so much" Catherine said with a smile, laughing at Kine's excitement

"You go see him, I'm going to get some dinner" Kine joked and walked off in the direction of her cabin. She danced all the way there before crashing in to the black haired girl again. Her dull blue eyes stared into Kine's soul and gave her the chills

"whats your name?" Kine asked after getting up and brushing herself off.

"Corrine" she replied "And you're annoying."

"hey!" Kine said angrily. "Only Catherine is allowed to call me annoying!"

"Whatever," Corrine dead panned, "you live here too?" she pointed to the Hermes cabin.

"Yes." Kine said grumpily "Are you staying?"

"If you're asking if I've been claimed yet then no, but even if I were I doubt there would be enough room for me." Corrine said yet again with no emotion. By this time Kine had already forgotten she had been called annoying and offered to show Corrine around the cabin.

"so how old are you?" Kine asked with a smile, she wanted to be as friendly as possible. Something about this girl wasn't right... but she couldn't put her finger on it.

"I'm sixteen" Corrine didn't like giving excess information, and barely answered Kine's question.

"okay, what did you do before you came here?" Kine inquired, determined to get something out of her.

"I took care of the animals on my father's farm" still as blunt as ever, kine thought.

"what type of animals?" Kine kept trying, she knew eventually, she could make Corrine her friend if she tries hard enough.

"my favorites were horses and cows"

"ew, cows are Hera's thing, hopefully you're not her daughter!" Kine joked. five seconds later she was flattened by a herd of cows.

"its not smart to insult the gods," Corrine sighed, laughing at her on the inside.

Kine just stuck her tongue out. "come on its getting dark, maybe you'll be claimed at the camp fire tonight"

Corrine paused for a minute before compiling to the blonde's demands.

Later that night at the campfire, a white and black animal glowed a mighty beacon above Corrine's head. clamors of 'what sign is that?' and 'is that even a gods claim?' through out the crowd.

"silence!!" Chirons words echoed through the valley. "This is the claim of Hera!!"
