Lorkin's P.O.V

As I sat in my make shift throne in our warehouse, I waited for my followers to bring me the one I wanted. He is the only one with the power to rejuvenate us. Ever since the war, when all the other dimensions where cut off, us half bloods had no connection to the End, where our power was held. So, our mortal human bodies began to disintegrate as the power of the Ender beast within us began to use the life force within it. Now, only the power of something from our home dimension can bring our form to a point of stability.

I saw the door open and my followers had him in tow. This being was an ancient warrior from our home. He had enough power in him to restore all of our bodies to stability for another century at the least, but I knew he wouldn't help us willingly.

I heard his voice calling to my guard who were escorting him to me, "Listen here, you filthy mongrels, either let go of me or I will kill every single one of you!"

Without hesitation, they let go. They knew this wasn't an empty threat, this Enderborn is spoken about in the shadows as the Oncoming Storm, or the bringer of darkness. We knew he would speak to us at the very least though, as we are one of the last things left of his dimension.

"What do you want with me this time, Lorkin? Is there a big bad bully that is hurting the mongrels? Does little old me have to tell their mommy?" He said in a passive-aggressive tone.

"You know what the problem is, Mitchell. You have known for a while now that we are dying. We need the mana that you possess to sustain these forms. Without it, we will just break apart until we are nothing," I say, hoping that Mitchell will want to help us.

"So, you're saying, if I don't give you my mana, you will all die and I won't have to see you disgusting mongrels ever again? And I would want to help you, why, may I ask?" He said with the evil smile plastered across his face, with the knowledge that he had us in his palm and he didn't mind squeezing us until we all died, but I had an idea.

"We all know your little Minecraftian pet would hate to see his friend cause the death of an entire species," I say, noticing that he squirmed as I said Minecraftian. He obviously knows who I am talking about, but he still has the smile on his face and then I see it the purple flash in his eyes. This is no longer Mitchell, this is the demon which resides within. The Enderborn.

I heard the soft voice that sounded like it was coming from inside my head and outside at the same time, "How dare you threaten Mitchell's friend like that! Now it seems your leverage is gone, for I am not Mitchell, but rather, I am the beast."

In that moment, shit hit the fan. Big time.

I was drifting in and out of consciences, hearing screaming and burning, then waking up outside, next to a lake. I could see Mitchell, or the beast, sat by the lake, skimming stones on the flat water then, he turns to me and his eyes are a the normal colour of dark violet and he says, "I am sorry for what happened, I couldn't stop him. He needs to be let out occasionally, to let the anger out. When you threatened Matthew like that, I knew I couldn't hold him back. I managed to save you, but it burned everyone else. I am sorry."

I could see the deep regret in his eyes, but also the relief, "Kill me then. My people are gone, my body is failing, please just kill me," I begged and without a word said, he walked over to me, unsheathing his legendary Redmatter blade.

"My pleasure."

Matthew's P.O.V

Where is he? I wondered as I paced up and down the halls of the factory. He said he would be back by now. All I can think is that he has been hurt... what am I saying he, is the Enderborn for notches sake, so now all I can think is has he hurt someone.

I see the door beginning to open and in he steps with his long black trench coat, slightly singed on the bottom.

"What happend?!" I question him.

I hear his low voice respond, "The filthy half bloods aren't going to be a problem anymore."

He actually sounded slightly upset by this, which confused me. "Was it you or was it the beast?" I asked him, worried for what his response might be.

"Mainly the beast, but I killed Lorkin. He pleaded for me to kill him," He said in a tone of voice which told me to change the subject as quickly as possible. Even though I am his best friend, I still wouldn't want to get on his bad side. He isn't exactly the most stable of people.

"How have the controller CPU's been working? Still functioning with the molecular assemblers?" I hear from the just inside the locker room, as Mitchell changes into his work uniform.

"Yeah they were okay, apart from number three. It went down at 2:27 AM and never came back online," I reply to him as he walks out in his lab coat and boots with a confused look on his face.

"Could be a programming error, or a channel issue. We'll look into it. By the way, is your girlfriend, Skyla, coming round later? Because if she is, I want to be well out of the way," He says with a smirk growing across his face.

"She might. But, even if she does come around, you will be up in your lab, working on something like always," I smiled, "I can't believe you're still mad at the fact she took your coat and hid it from you for three days. Come on, it is a fucking coat, dude and you got it back," I say to him for what feels like the millionth time, sighing at the end. Who would have guessed that a being over a thousand years old would be such a little bitch.

"Yes, but do you remember the time, last year, on Mianite's Eve, where she brought her very stupid but pretty friend round? They both got hammered, along with you and I had to spend 3 days finding my tools that they spread about like an egg hunt and forgot where they put them! Because I sure well do!" He says, storming off, not even waiting for a reply.

Note to self, make sure they do it again.
