The second that you realize that you might not be straight is the second you should also realize that life is not going to be the easy road you thought it would be. It's gonna have bumps, potholes, and you might get a flat or stall out at some point. But it is so much better to brave that road than to suffer in silence on the smooth one. (Cheers for more cheesy metaphors)
You will face prejudice. From people who know you, and people who don't. People who shouldn't have any right to judge you. But they will anyways. It sucks. But you will also be happier than you have ever been, because you'll be able to be who you are, down to the last infinitesimal detail.

And that is exactly why the rainbows are worth it.

Despite what happened in Orlando, despite everything that might still happen, BE YOURSELF. You are strongest when you believe in who you are and what you are.  Straight, cis, gay, trans, bi, pan, demi; it doesn't matter. We're all human.

And we might want to start acting like it.
