Months passed in the Kingdom of Lordemar and the city of Harloth prospered under the rule of king Tarenthar. Prince Sigmar had been allowed into the order of the paladins to begin training as a champion of the light. His training advanced well and his motivation knew no limits. The event in the Eversang Forest always on his mind. If he was to travel over the whole kingdom and beyond he had to become strong and be able to handle such situations by himself. He sometimes ventured back into the forest hoping to see Shandra again. But the forest were quiet and Shandra did not appear again. Sigmar even tried to fake he was in danger again but she never showed up again. Sometimes he had the feeling he was being watched while he was in the forest but he could never seem to pinpoint the origin of the eyes. He had become stronger in the past months and he even had to defend himself against animals like wolves and even a spider the size of a small horse. But the Light was strong in Sigmar and it always gave him the courage and strenght to face his beastly foes.

Sigmar kept training like no other in the order and quickly rose to become one of the most promising champions of the Light. He started to rival some of the adult paladins in devotion and also in the eagerness to grow and take his rightfull place in the order. Now fifteen years old he became the apprentice of the second in command of the paladins. The Hierarch Abbadon the herald of Light became his mentor and trainer. Technically the prince was his superior in the hierarchy of the kingdom but Sigmar had great respect for the Hierarch and always followed his instructions. A week before his sixteenth name day his father summoned his son to the throne room. In one of the outer villages of the kingdom reports came of a rumor too formidable to be true. The villagers of Axon reported seeing a horse with a skin as light as the moon itself but something was not right about the rumors. The reports said the horse had wings and was able to fly at incredible speeds. King Tarenthar thought of this as an excellent opportunity for Sigmar to travel to the edges of  the kingdom so the people farther away could rejoice of being able to see the prince. Tarenthar did not believe the rumors of the winged horse but he almost never believed tales of creatures he had never seen and he had always questioned Sigmar's story of his meeting in Eversang. Sigmar was quite interested in this rumor and immediately accepted the assignment. Even if this meant he wouldn't be home for his name day the idea of leaving for another place excited him beyond reason. He wondered if the horse was true and if it was, what other fantastic creatures could exist without the humans knowledge.

The towns grew smaller and smaller as the small company moved to the eastern border of Lordemar. After days of riding they would finally arrive at Axon. A scout had been sent forward to warn the innkeeper of the incoming guests. he could not accommodate everyone at his inn and some of the retinue put some tents at the edge of the village. They all eated at the inn and filled their belly's with some fresh pork and oven baked potatoes. the ale also was a welcome sight to quench the thirst of the men.

Sigmar was quite excited to have finally arrived at Axon and finnaly be able to start looking for the mythological creature. He started by visiting the villagers who had reported the beast. All the vilagers saw the beast around the treeline near the river Andel. The party ventured multiple times to the spot but they didn't find any trace of the beast. one night the prince and one of the lieutenants sat at a campfire near the river discussing the situation and if the time to abbandon the search came closer.Sigmar nodded to his lieutenant when he asked him if it was alright if he retreated into his room te find his sleep after another long day of searching the surroundings of the village. The prince was starting to put out the fire when he heard it for the first time. It sounded like a horse! But the prince was sure it was his imagination. He finished putting out the fire and took his sword wich was leaning against a tree. But then he heard it again and more clearly this time. Then he heard the grass behind him making some noice and Sigmar rushed to look in the direction of the noise. And he was standing at such a close distance of the beast he could almost feel his breathing. Their eyes met and sigmar was gripping his sword tightly and filling his heart with the Light to assist him in this moment.

And when he started to move towards the beast the unimaginable happend... .
