Parents

It was the Friday before the dance, and people were getting a bit antsy.

Guys were surprisingly trying to make sure they had the perfect suits and masks while girls did the same with their own dresses and masks.

André unlocked his locker, going through it to try and find his half finished mask.

He looked around, trying to spot the normal blur that was Tori Vega that was usually rushing to her locker at this time, but nothing.

Where is she? He wonders, looking around and spotting Trina, who looks slightly down.

"Trina! Hey!" He calls, making her walk over.

"What do you want?" She asks in her normal charming attitude that everyone just loved.

"Is Tori coming to school today?" He asks, crossing his arms over his chest.

Trina bites her bottom lip slightly.

"I don't really know okay? Just leave it at that." Trina says before rushing away.

Jade stalks over to André, raising a pierced brow.

"What was that all about?" Jade questions, but her tone insists that she could care less.

"I asked her if Tori was coming to school but she said she didn't know and walked away like something was wrong." He states, making Jade look in the direction the older Vega had gone.

"Then let's drag it out of her." Jade says flatly, starting her normal stalk over.

Andre attempts to stop her, but stops, realizing her can't, and let's out a pained "oh."

Trina was at her locker, which Jade had always dispized.

Mainly because it was bright, ugly, and she couldn't care less.

"Trina." Jade snaps, making the girl jump at the sound.

It was no secret that the two didn't like each other, in fact, Jade almost hated her more than Tori.

Scratch that, she did.

"J-Jade? What do you want?" She asks, finally getting back her normal posture in the middle of speaking.

Narrowed green eyes met wide brownish-gray ones, making Trina want to look away.

But she couldn't.

"What do you want?!" She shrieks, covering her eyes to hide from the stare that could reach into her soul.

Jade smirks lightly in triumph, loving that she could scare Vega's sister so easily.

"Why. Isn't. Tori. Here?" She asks slowly, making Trina look even more scared.

"She isn't coming okay! Just drop it!" She squeals, sounding quiet when she was afraid in contrast to her normal self.

Note to self, Jade starts in her mind, scare Trina so she will shut up.

"Why not?" Jade questions, taking scissors from her boot to twirl around her fingers.

That was the tip of the iceberg for Trina.

Those scissors were it.

"Fine! Come with me." Trina growls, almost scaring Jade at the mood change.

Almost anyway.

Jade groans as she is dragged over to the janitor's closet, wondering only now if this was how Tori felt every time she did this.

The door closes behind Jade as Trina paces in the small room.

"Look, if you must know Jade, Tori came out to our parents two months ago before they left on another 'vacation'." Trina starts.

Jade was kinda surprised.

She didn't think Tori would wait so long to tell her parents about being bi in contrast to telling her friends at the beginning of summer.

"Okay. And what does that have to do with anything?" Jade questioned, making Trina chew her bottom lip out of nerves.

Though Jade wouldn't admit it to anyone, but it freaked her out seeing Trina this fearful and unsure for someone who was always going head on into things, even if she was called untalented or anything like that.

Which she was, a lot.

"They didn't take it well and told her they would have a serious talk when they got back." Trina states, looking down at her shoes before adding, "Which was last night."

Jade nods, starting to understand.

"So is Tori to upset to leave her room or something?" Jade questions, still not getting why the perky girl wasn't here.

Trina shakes her head.

"She couldn't leave this morning. They were still yelling, and god the yelling." Trine muttered, covering her ears.

Jade couldn't believe what she was hearing.

"Okay then. Thanks I guess." Jade mutters before leaving the older girl to hold her hands over her ears.

Andre was waiting outside, one dark eyebrow arched.

"What did she say?" He questions, seeing Jade whip out her phone.

Andre walked over, watching over the slightly shorter girl's shoulder.

He saw Tori's contact and noticed the number of messages sent at the top of the screen, and it surprised him how large the number was.

"Do you two text a lot?" He questions smugly, earning a sideways glare from Jade.

"If you don't shut up Harris I swear to god you will regret it."

He shuts his mouth, continuing watching silently.

Hey Tori. Trina just kinda told me why you aren't here. What's going on?

-J

She sends the message and both stand there, waiting for an answer.

The first bell rang for classes but the two didn't move, they didn't want to.

And weather Jade realized it or not, she was actually worried about her, and she wanted to hear back fast, and get the same perky exclamation points and emojis that she normally received.

But nothing came, and Jade couldn't help but feel her heart sink.

What's going on with you West? She questions herself, its VEGA! The girl your supposed to hate remember!?

But even with the yelling in her thoughts, as the two stood there, in the middle of the hall, staring at a pearphone, she couldn't get out of her head the impending doom of the situation.

Please be okay.
