...Life at Creepypasta Mansion...
Chapter 11.
~Erica's Point Of View~
About two minutes later, Masky returned with Hoodie and and ice pack.
"What's the ice pack for?" I asked.
"It reduces swelling."
"Oh, okay."
Masky sat on my left, and Hoodie, after closing the door, sat on my right. Masky held the ice pack to my arm steadily, while asking me various questions. I obediently answered them all truthfully, knowing that Masky, Hoodie, and probably Ben and E.J would help too.
"So, how exactly did Jeff abuse you?"
"Well... He usually grabbed my wrists really hard and held me against a wall while screaming tedious demands at me."
"Really?" said Masky in extreme shock, "but you've only been going out for a week!"
I wiped a tear away with my free hand.
"Oh, Erica, p-please don't cry..." Masky pleaded.
I leaned back on the couch, and brought my hands to my face, causing the ice pack to fall onto the floor. I couldn't help but cry harder, for I will never forget what Jeff had said to me. Masky leaned back too, turning to face me. He once again brushed the stray hair out of my tear-streaked face ever so gently. I folded my hands in my lap and turned to look Masky in the face. His face was flawless, as it was when I first saw it, but now filled with worry and concern.
~Hoodie's Point Of View~
I could see what was going on there! I can tell when Masky wants to be alone. He gave me the puppy dog eyes and knew I could take a hint. I stood up and picked the ice pack off the floor.
"I should probably cool this down. It's getting a little..." I coughed a couple of times, "heated in here."
I left the room with the melting icepack in my hand.
~Masky's Point Of View~
I watched Hoodie as he stepped out of the room, then brought my gaze to Erica's teary, yet
beautiful face.
"Masky..." she said, "I'm so sorry. You didn't have to help me."
"Yes. I did. I really did. I can't stand seeing you hurt, whether physically or emotionally."
She hid her face in her hands and let her final tears fall. I couldn't explain how depressing the atmosphere was.
I moved closer to her and she slid her delicate, little hand in mine. I blushed a deep shade of red and remembered I wasn't wearing my mask, which made me blush harder. I cautiously wrapped my arm around her shoulders, trying to comfort her. She looked up, and her eyes met mine. For the first time, I realised how close she was. I could clearly see the tears clinging to her eyelashes. I lifted my hand from in hers and gently traced her jawbone with the tip of my finger. I had no idea what I was doing, and I couldn't control it. These were not my actions. My thumb rested tenderly on her cheekbone. With it, I cleared the remaining tears from her face. Erica's eyes were definitely distracting me from her face. They were gorgeous, vibrant green in colour, which reminded me of a rainforest. I immediately thought of the phrase, 'Lost in your eyes...'
