Emma POV
I run as fast as my legs can go, which isn't very fast, but I head towards the Minecraft classroom, which is filled with expensive gaming computers. I love Minecraft quite a bit and play at midnight with Madison sometimes. When I get there, all heads turn to me. Madison's just walked in too, turns out the Minecraft fandom was in the middle of a class.
"uhm.." Madison stutters.
"We just..need to find out how Minho's hair is! someone sent us here!" I quickly make up an excuse. It's lame, but they'll believe it since they don't know anything about Maze Runner.
"Emma, let's just go borrow someone's phone," She grabs my arm and drags me out.
"But I wanted to use the fancy computers!"
"It's too dangerous!" Madison whispers. "Someone could easily look over and we what we're doing. Also we totally forgot that classes are in session!"
"Fineeeeeee," I whine. I really like using the computers in the minecraft classrooms. The computers aren't laggy like all the other computers that are much more like potatoes with screens.
Madison eyes a girl from the One Direction fandom that strolls down the hall staring at her phone. She's scrolling through Instagram, looking at One Direction fan accounts. She's the representative of the 1D fandom. I've seen her talking to Maddy a few times because Madison's the representative of our fandom.
Every fandom has a leader and a representative. The representative goes to school meetings and represents the fandom. The leader is the one who makes the decisions. The leader can't be influenced by other fandoms which is why there is a representative. The representative must know the other fandom members pretty well and be social. The fandom leaders are more biased and fixed on the one fandom.
"Hey Ariana!" Madison waves. She's been here much longer than me and has a lot more friends. Also since she's one of the representatives, she talks to a lot of the people from other fandoms.
Ariana, the girl in the 1D fandom, waves back and greets us.
"Can we borrow your phone for a few minutes shank? We'll return it soon." Madison asks.
"Sure, I was bored anyway. I'll go do something on my laptop instead."
"Thanks, I won't do anything weird, don't worry."
Madison takes the pink phone and opens the browser. It takes a minute to open, but when it does, there's a ton of tabs open.
"It's so annoying when people never close their tabs and keep opening new ones, you know?" I complain.
"It lags up everything." Madison agrees.
Madison opens a fresh tab and types 'where is Fandom high' in the search bar. I'm surprised by the amount of websites that come up. Would a normal school have so much written about it? I glance at some of the sites lower down on the page. They don't seem to have anything to do with Fandom high. They refer to something called C.A.R.E.D. Cared? What kind of acronym is that? Madison doesn't notice. She just clicks on the first link to a Wikipedia article about Fandom high.
"I'll read it." Madison tells me and begins to read aloud. "Fandom high is a school that was founded to help combat what people nowadays know as C.A.R.E.D which is-" Madison stops talking and starts clicking the phone frantically. "Dang it."
"What is it Madison?" I ask.
"See for yourself." Madison mutters, glaring angrily at the screen one more time before passing the phone to me to see. I read the webpage.
