It's Just One Night
"I went down to Midgard to rule the people as a benevolent God."
"Your birthright, was to die!"
"What about Thor, you'll make that witless oath king?"
"HE'S NOT MY FATHER!"
"Then am I not your mother?"
"You might want to take the stairs to the left."
"Loki enough, no more illusions."
"Did she suffer?"
"Don't hit it press it gently."
"I am pressing it gently."
"Well done, you just decapitated your grandfather."
They all groaned as I recited yet another line from the movie, but I couldn't help it. It's my most favorite movie of all time, and I'm proud that I actually know the whole movie and could say it just like the actors do. But I guess my friends don't appreciate my skills as much as I do.
"I'm going to turn it off," Charlotte warned, waving the remote around.
Charlotte was one of my best friends. A short, blonde haired, blue eyed seventeen year old who understood the value of knowing when to be quiet and when to be loud.
"Please don't turn it off." I begged, clasping my hands together.
"Well then shut the fuck up." Katia hissed
Katia was the mean one out of us, our loco Latina. She doesn't take shit from anyone. Not even me or Charlotte, and I love that about her. She keeps us in check and is always ready to smack us back to life, back to reality. Katia is the definition of tough love.
"I don't know why we agreed to watch Thor anyway, we knew she was going to torture us like this." Carter, my boyfriend, spoke while playing with my lion's mane otherwise known as my hair.
"I know right, keep this up and you won't have us anymore, Amber." Katia spoke, whacking me in the face with a pillow.
I rolled my eyes and tucked the pink pillow on under my arm. I know they won't really leave me. Hopefully. I really hope they don't. I don't know what I'd do if that happened again. Anyway, I'm Amber-Rae, the over dramatic, quiet, reserved, friend. I wasn't always like this, but I'll explain that another time.
Right now, Katia, Charlotte and I were having an impromptu girls night, to kick off the first night of winter break. Carter is only here because he came home with me after school, and he didn't want to leave when the girls came.
We were all in my room lying on my futon, currently watching Thor:The Dark Word because I love Chris Hemsworth and I'll never get sick of his gorgeous muscles. Our backs were supported by numerous throw pillows we found lying around, and our bodies were cocooned in soft blankets, squashed together like one big happy family.
"Charlotte, get your disgusting, greasy, rats nest of hair out of my damn eyes." Katia huffed, kissing her teeth.
Okay, maybe not like one big happy family.
