Mi Casa Es Tú Casa
"Aww, they're so cute."
"I know right, what do this kids say nowadays: sister goalies."
"Please stop trying to be cool, Leroy. It's not working out, honey."
I groaned at the voices that were slowly pulling me out of my sweet slumber, I'm pretty sure it was mum and dad, but they had no reason to be waking me up right now. I'm on break.
"Oh, she's waking up." My dad said.
My eyes were closed, but I still managed to roll them. Of course I was waking up, they gatecrashed my dream! And it was a good dream too- me and Chris Hemsworth were on a date on the beach and he was just about to take is shirt off to go swimming and ugh.
"What do you guys want?" I asked without opening my eyes.
"Uh excuse me, try that again little girl," Mum said, sensing my attitude.
I sighed, " Good morning parents, how may I assist you this fine morning?"
"It's afternoon." She deadpanned.
"Alessandra," dad warned, my mum was known for having unnecessary tempers and he caught them before they could happen. "Good morning Amber, we came to get Amelia, but y'all looked so comfortable together."
I turned to my right and cracked open one eye to see Amelia curled up into a fetus position squished up by my side. Her lights breaths lightly dancing on my bare arm as her stomach slowly rose and fell. I'm surprised she's still asleep, normally she's up at nine-thirty on the dot.
"Okay, you guys can go now." I told them, as I tried to fall back asleep.
I didn't hear any shuffling of feet, or doors opening indicating that they left, so I opened my eyes to see them still standing at the foot of my bed.
"Yes?"
Mum walked forward and gently pat Amelia's back, "It's time for you two to get up."
"Why?" I groaned, rolling over onto my stomach and burying my face in the pillow, "It's winter break, I can sleep in if I want to."
Dad spoke up, "Carter's downstairs."
"Really?" I asked, turning to narrow my eyes at him.
They've played this trick before; they made think Carter was here so I could wake up early so they could drag me to a dentist appointment. That was not a fun day, I ended up getting my wisdom teeth removed.
"Yes," dad sighed, with a small eye roll.
That was all I needed to find the motivation to get out of bed. Even though he's been gone for only five days, I missed him, like really missed him.
Maybe it's because I've had a lack of social interaction, especially between me and my best friends, or maybe it's because we have developed that kind of relationship were we've become totally codependent on each other. Either way I was excited to see my man.
I jumped out of bed and ran into my en-suit. I took a shower, washed my face and brushed my teeth and wash my hair so that I could have fresh curls. By the time I was back in my room, mum, dad and Amelia were gone so I got dressed in black leggings that read 'FML' and a grey Pink sweater. When I finished getting ready it was coming up to one and I'm not sure how long Carter's been waiting. It doesn't really matter because my house has become his second home and he's here more than he's home. He takes 'mi casa es tú casa' for real up in this bitch.
