I walked out of the hall with Noah and Becky by my side. PE was over by the time I got there, so Noah and Becky took me into the halls.
"So why are we here?" I ask curiously and look at them.
"We're signing up for the new sport teams." Becky says in a 'duh' voice.
"Oh, so what are you guys doing then?" I ask.
"Well, i'm not doing anything. Just here for support." Noah shrugs. I nod and turn to Becky.
"I play baseball, luckily they have a team here." She smiles.
"Oh, well as you know, i'm doing basketball." I smile. Noah and Becky glance at each other and try not to smile. I look at them with confusion.
"What?"
"Oh nothing." Noah smirks. I stare at him for a few more moments in confusion until Becky walks over to the wall beside us, paper forms filled across it.
"Are these where we sign up?" I ask her. She nods and turns to the baseball form while I walk over to the basketball form. There were already names on there, so I scribbled down mine as well:
1.Max Robin
2.Chris Anderson
3.Mason Connor
4.Lucas Parker
5.Liam Parker
6.Ethan Taylor
7.Elijah Jenkins
8.Andrew Presley
9.Jackson Tyler
10.Isaac Murphy
11.Sean Joseph
12.Evan Jones
13. Riley North
I smile and put the pen back, satisfied. I turn back around to Noah and Becky who are staring at me mischievously.
"What?" I ask frustratedly.
"Nothing." They say in fusion, then burst out laughing. I poke my tongue out at them childishly and Becky throws her arm around my shoulder, earning a glare from me. She smiles and Noah walks beside her.

"Now, you're going to walk out onto those courts and show who's boss." She smirks. I nod confidently.
I walk out onto the court, Becky and Noah leaving my side. I walk over to the coach and throw my hands into my pockets. The coach turns around to me and I bite my lip.
"Is this the basketball team?" I ask.
"Yep, you must be Riley North, the scholarship girl?" He smiles. I nod and he turns to the court that was filled with people playing. He blows his whistle and they stop and walk over. I stare at all of them I feel like hiding into a corner or shell like a turtle. Most of them were so tall and when my eyes landed on a certain person, my eyes widened. It was one of the Robin twins. The same boy who made goosebumps run up my arms and neck. The same boy who promised me he would get me. When our eyes connected he smirked and I quickly looked turned my attention back to the coach.
"This is Riley North, our scholarship girl. She will be joining our team today." The coach smiles. All of their heads turned to me and I felt like I wanted to run and hide. They all started eyeing me up and then whining.
"But she's a girl!" One of them yelled. I scoffed under my breath and glared at them.
"Sir, we already have enough players!" Another one whined.
"Aye she cute though." One of them stared at me as if I was meat and I was ready to kick him in his crown jewels.
"THATS ENOUGH!" The coach barked and they all shut their mouths.
"Riley here will be on our team and thats final, i'm sure she could beat any of your asses any day so calm down." The coach snarled and I wanted to hug him, thank god he wasn't sexist like some of them. They all muttered profanities under their breath then walked away, going back to their game. The coach turned to me and smiled.
"Welcome to the team, we have practises on every Thursday at 4pm, don't be late." He says. I nod and say 'thank you' just as the bell goes off. I quickly scurry away and run my hand up my face.
What the hell have I gotten myself into?
