In my opinion, there is nothing greater than seeing a tough person care about something, because honestly, nobody cares anymore. Nobody looks up, they're afraid the world isn't compressed into a tiny object you could hold in your hand
That's the best way I can describe Whit, power, behind it is a river of the feelings everyone else feels. Once that dam is broken, there's no more competence anymore because when people have worked so long to keep something and that thing was for naught, there's no point in seeking anymore.
This whole story is about seeking omnipotence, not in the way most people think of it. Most people, when they hear omnipotence, they think of a god. One who is above everything and can control it. My meaning of omnipotence is finally reaching the point where limits were surpassed, and finding out that anything can be achieved.
Whit has always been the power, but the power as in "anything can be reached with enough strength." We all knew different though. 1. Whit wasn't all strength 2. Strength isn't the key to omnipotence.
I can tell you this: if the sky fell down, Whit would be the one to catch it.
Whit is the prime example of man, who believes that people are the prime limit to power. The sad thing is that at this point in time there is no right answer, nobody can say in a voice loud enough to where everyone will believe them. If in today's society, people can't believe "I love you" how are we supposed to believe that power has no limit.
