Dear Diary,
Translated VersionIt was hard transferring into a new school. My family didn't have enough money to come along with me so I live here in Canada with my aunt and younger cousin.
Yoorim, my cousin, is like my brother. He is there to support me in everything I do. My aunt, Hyerim, owns a bakery and cafe on the main stage of our apartment house.
Here's a few pictures of the inside. (^∀^)
Do you like the pictures? I took them myself. I love to help out at the cafe when I am bored and have nothing else to do.
Ooh, I almost forgot. Other than missing my familly I also miss oppa.
(Translation(2): -Oppa: a term used by korean girls when speaking to older guys. Oppa is also loosely used to flirt and show affection for an older guy. In other words-oppa=boyfriend.)
His name is Hyumin. I miss him sooo much. He is very kind and sweet unlike others.
People are very blunt here in Canada. Or maybe I only met the stern people. Whatever. I live in Edmonton, Alberta.
Right now my headphones are plugged in and I am listening to music in the cafe. The song Bad by Infinite is on and I'm pretty sure next ones are Autumn Leaves by BTS and Exodus by EXO.
I was so bored that organizing and memorizing my song playlist was a hobby. I am helping out at the cafe right now but since no one's ordering I decided to write a bit of stuff in my diary.
...
I'm bored.
This is the struggles of a transfer student. You know no one so you cannot go out with friends. You can't have fun at parties.
And I'm too underage for everything else fun. I mean, I can go to the library. But I do that almost everyday already.
I can watch a Kdrama marathon. But I've watched almost of them already.
I can watch my favorite celebrities on variety shows. But I've seen all of them.
I can study. But...nah.
It's getting...
...
...I dunno...
...
...really...
...
...boring.•

I was writing in my diary when all of a sudden someone called, "Hey glasses! Can I have a caramel macchiato!" I looked at the young man who had yelled the order.I pointed at myself with a confused face as I pushed my falling glasses up. "Yes, you." He spoke in an angry tone, "Don't you work here?" I nodded. "I'm sorry. Yes sir. Right away sir."
I perfectly brewed the caramel macchiato he had asked for. I even added the little leave design because the song I was listening to was now Autumn Leaves.
I put the small cup on a porcelain white saucer and placed it on a tray. I carefully walked to the boy who had ordered it, trying not to spill one single drop.
"Here you go sir." As I placed the cup at his table he smiled. "You got some coffee skills, Yuri." I looked at the young man still not able to recognize him.
"I'm in your math class." He spoke. My lips formed an 'Oh' shape and nodded. "Well, I gotto go-" "Stay here for a second, glasses."
I blushed a bit and pushed by glasses up once again. "Sit down." He pointed at the empty seat in front of him and I did as told.
"So. You may not know me glasses, but I know you." Of course he knows me. The whole school will forever remember 'the transfer student'.
"Let me introduce myself. I'm Vernon." I started to fangirl inside because a he shares the same name as a band member from Seventeen.
Yup. This is my life. Fangirling over guys who have the same names as an idols.
"Hey Yuri. You wanna go out with me Friday? I mean, if you're free of course." I was very flattered but I couldn't. Hyumin oppa would be furious if he found out I went on a date with another boy.
"I'm so sorry but I can't, Vernon. I have a boyfriend and-" "Wait. You have a boyfriend?" I nodded with a sad giggle at the end.
"Is he Chinese too?" I was a bit offended by Vernon's carelessness but I just shook it off. "Actually, I'm Korean." He scoffed, "Whatever. Same difference. You're both asian, am I right?"
I had a feeling Vernon doesn't really like me the way I think he likes me. "I'm sorry Vernon, but I have to-"
Ring Ring!
I looked at the contact and it clearly read 'Oppa<3'. I answered. "Speaking of my boyfriend. I really have to take this."
"여보세요?(Hello?)" I could hear giggles on the other end of the line."야! 안녕 자기야! 너 어디야? (Hey! Hi babe. Where are you?)"
Vernon stared at me with the what-are-they-talking-about face. "집에서.(At home.)" Hyumin hummed an okay. "뭐하고 있어요?(What are you doing?)"
I feuded on whether to tell him some guy asked me out or that I was just working. A moment of silence.
"일하는중.(Working.)" I eyed Vernon then returned to the conversation. "와. 당신은 정말 최고입니다.(Wow. You're really the best.)"
My heart ached. Hearing him say I am the best after I just lied to him.
"죄송 해요. 내가 가야.(I'm sorry. I have to go.)" "사과하지 마십시오. 내가 귀찮게 미안 해요.(Don't apologize. I'm sorry for bothering.)"
"사랑해요 휴민 오빠.(I love you, Hyumin.)" "나도 사랑해 유리.(I love you too, Yuri.)"
I hung up and sighed. "What did you tell him." I forgot Vernon was here. "None of your business."
"Say. How about a friendly hang out?" I guess it wouldn't hurt. I just wanted him to stop bugging me. I nodded.
"When should we-" "Americano please." I mouthed 'wait' at him and he understood.
I brewed an Americano and waited for it to finish when a tornado of orders were thrown towards me.
"Cappuccino please!" "Espresso!" I rushed to finish all the orders. I prepared the Americano and brought it to the woman's table.
"Thank you." I was about to respond back when someone tapped my shoulder. It was Vernon.
"Need any help?"
