Alice's POV
New school, great.
New friends, great.
New style, great.
New life, great......
I've been waiting to finally move to a school, my sixth school. Ever since grade three. But I won't go there.
This school actually looks nice...everything is so beautiful here. From the purple flowers in the garden bed by the front doors, to the nice janitors greeting me while sweeping the floors(which don't even need cleaning) to the savoury smell of the cheesy pizza getting served to the students of Rocky Falls High School.
I walk over to the front desk, and a lady, looks about in her 50's, greets me with a big, but yellow, smile.
"Hello, are you Alice Coleman?" She speaks.
I mumble,"Yes,"
"Well I am glad to have you around here," she smiles.
I quickly nod and direct my attention to the kitten poster and pink sweater on hanging on her wall. My eyes shift to the twitching lips of the desk lady.I kind of feel bad for her so I ask,"Could you show me around?"
"Um...."She thinks,"I think I could give you a quick tour,"
"Let's go then," I say, waiting for her to get up, grab her sweater, and walk around the desk to meet me.
We walk around,"this is the gym, and over to left, down that hallway, is the science lab, sewing room, cooking class, and some other grade nine classes," she softly explains,
She is driving me crazy with her soft and sweet voice.
She continues,"to the right, is your grade eleven classes, and the change rooms, and the computer lab. You can go in there at lunch to finish homework. But you seem like a good student who won't have much homework anyways," she bumps her shoulder to mine and winks. This is scary.
"So you should get to home room now. Just down this hallway," she grabs my arm,"you have Mrs. Miller, she's the best!"
I walk down the hallway....
"Wait!" The desk lady screams," you need to get to your locker!" She points back to the spot where we were just talking. I shove my backpack and binder into number 56. And head to Mrs. Millers room.
