Fairy Tail One Shots(Remastering)

Zeref x reader

(Takes place before the Tenrou arc)

You walked through a forest on the mysterious Tenrou island. You don't know how you got there you just woke up there.

The forest was a lovely light green color with patches of light coming through the trees. Bugs and birds had their summer melodies. There was just one thing that seemed out of place, in certain areas the ground tress and animals would be dead but nothing showed what killed it.

There was as well a source of something dark and you were trying to look for it, well sort of. You were more sight-seeing then looking for the source. You came across a lake that seemed to sparkle from the sunlight. You walked over to it only to see someone on the other side.

You couldn't make out much of him only knowing he had black hair and seemed to be 'chillin'.

Cautiously you walked over there only when you were about a yard away from the man he quickly sat up and stuck his hands out,

"D-Don't come near me!" He yelped a bit, he seemed scared, you felt pity for him,

"Why not?" You asked fearlessly taking a step or two towards him,

"I don't want you to get hurt like everyone else!" he said his hands dropping to his side, you couldn't see his face, his head was down and his hair covered his face.

You stayed silent, if anything you thought he was completely crazy that was before his magic rose up.

He brought his hands to his head in pain,

"Go! Get out of here before you get hurt! I can't control my magic!" He half shouted at you but you stood your ground despite his pleases and warnings. Suddenly a dark circle formed around him.

You realized that it was death magic, it what made those dead area's- well, dead. All you had to do was cancel out his magic,

"Water lock!" You shouted suddenly trapping him in a ball of water canceling out the spell that was about to be cast.

Once you were sure it was over you realeased him and helped him sit up right instead of just hitting the ground. He sat there for a minute coughing up water and trying to catch his own breath.

You felt something tugging at your chest making your heart beat increase, you tried to ignore the feeling but it wouldn't go away,

"W-Why didn't you kill me?" He asked you, looking up at you with sad eyes. He wanted to die?

Your gripped his shoulders tightly and looked him dead in the eye,

"Why would you want to do die?" You felt anger rise up, no one should want to die!

"You saw it on the way here didn't you? I kill things endlessly, I just want it to stop!" You finally stopped, shocked. Tears started to flow down his face, you grip slowly loosened as you couldn't take your eyes off of him,

"W-What's your name?" You stuttered a bit,

"Zeref."

"I-I'm ____"

You had heard about the black wizard Zeref, the most powerful wizard in the world, but- this is him? you gripped his shoulders again and pulled him into a hug, that's the least you could probably do,

"W-What are you doing? He stuttered, his face slightly in your chest,

"Its called a hug." You replied flatly as you put your back up against a tree still having Zeref in your grasp,

"A...hug?" He asked, seeming to test the word out a bit, making you sigh a bit, "It feels warm.." he purred a bit making your face go red. You both stayed like that for a few minutes, you lightly stroking his hair, he seemed to relax in your arms,

"Besides you being unable to control you power why must you die, Zeref?" You whispered into his ear softly,

"I told you, I don't want to hurt anyone anymore, I've lived far to long, I just want some peace..." He whispered back,

"You've been all alone for such a long time, Zeref. Maybe what you really need is just a friend." You said having Zeref sit up to face you instead of laying down on you,

"What's a friend?" He asked tilting his head at you only making you face palm. He really needs to socialize more.

You explained a friend that best way you could and was not very good- you weren't good at explaining anything. It seemed he under stood what you were saying atleast that was good,

Suddenly Zeref pressed his lips against yours for a moment,

"I've been told that is a gesture to show this friendship yes?" He asked you, your face a dark shade of red but you suddenly smirked and nodded your head pressing your lips against his.

Only he could do this to you, you now didn't want anyone else to have him like this. It was selfish but you couldn't help it, his kiss felt to good! You gently kissed him back, pulling him closer to break the gap between you both.

He may have a lot to learn but you wouldn't mind teaching him.
