The Winner of Twister. Part 4

(A/N I am back. Sorry for such a long wait ^^; I skipped over 3 2/2

~Kagami's POV~
I quickly opened my eyes and bolted up from my sleeping state drenched in sweat. I had the nightmare again. Why do I keep remembering about that awful day? I hated myself for so many years because of what happened...I was weak. I sighed and laid back down trying to collect all my nerves.

"...(Y/N)...." I muttered under my breath and cover my face, "I'm sorry," With that being said I tried to go back to sleep but my alarm clock went off, notifying me that it was time for school.  I rolled out of bed and landed on the floor with a loud thud and made my dresser shake a bit from the impact, "I don't wanna get up for school...." I growled to myself and crawled to the bathroom before getting up and doing my daily routine.

~■Timeskip to school■~
I walked into my classroom and greeted my classmates and sat down in my seat, I tapped my finger on the desk as I waited for school to officially start but my mind slowly started to stir and I started to day dream.

☆FlashBack☆
All I heard was screaming and I saw blood...lots of blood. And..Laughter? I wonder who was the sick bastard who was laughing at this scenery. I clenched my teeth as I felt a sting of pain shoot down my spine and jolt.

I ever so slowly opened my eyes and I was greeted by a pair of black eyes, It was a pretty lady in a nurse outfit so of course I automatically knew where I was, "E-Excuse me.." I said, my voice a bit hoarse.

"Do you know by any chance where (Y/N) is?..." I asked as if everything was okay but I saw sadness in her eyes as she gave me a glass of water and some pain killers. "I'll go get your father.." With that being said she stormed out the room and I was left alone with my thoughts, 'I wonder if she's gone home by now' I smiled and took the medicine.

A wave of realization hit me. Hard. (Y/N) was standing up for me when I was knocked out...And those screams..that blood..It was hers!! I dropped my empty glass on my bed sheets and let it roll onto the floor, hearing the glass shatter the adults ran inside the room to see if everything was okay.

I shoot them a glance filled with horror and sadness"Dad...W -Where is (Y/N)?..Is she okay?.." My old man just stayed quiet and sat on the bed beside me, I looked at him with confused eyes and he shook his head. "..Taiga...I'm sorry..."

When I heard those words leave his mouth I felt warm tears run down my cheeks. That can't be. She can't be dead or anything, right? I told myself then I started laughing, "That's really funny dad, but really, where is she?" I asked a bit more seriously, His frown just grew deeper and his head slumped a bit. "...."

We sat there in silence before he pulled me into a tight embrace, I don't know why but I had the feeling that I wouldn't be able to see (Y/N) again..I went blind because of tears swelling up in my eyes and I just broke down crying and screaming. "I WANT TO SEE (Y/N) AGAIN!! IT'S ALL MY FAULT THAT SHE IS GONE! I WANT STRONG ENOUGH TO SAVE HER FROM THOSE GUYS!" I felt my dad's body tremble a bit as I felt wetness on my head.

"Kagami...Promise me..You'll go up big and strong so you can protect those who need your help." My dad whispered as I cried my eyes out but I did nod to him. I promised myself that I would protect the ones I love. (Y/N).

~♤Present♤~
"Kagami Taiga!" Someone yelled and I stood up snapping myself out of my day dream, I realized that my teacher was calling role and I gave her a nervous chuckle and said here before sitting back down. The class giggled and the teacher sighed, "Honestly.."

After role was done being called we jumped straight into our math lesson ((*Burns math homework* (•_•) I hate math.)) But before we could get balls deep into the lesson the teacher called everyone to attention, Standing beside her wad this beautiful (S/C) skinned girl. Her (E/C) eyes almost sparkled kind of when the sun light hit them just right. What stood out the most to me was the scars on her neck and face, I counted three scars in all. One over her eye, one going stage down her throat and one on the bridge of her nose. "This is our new student, Would you be so kind to introduce yourself please?"

I watched in awe as she gave the teacher a warm smile, it reminded me of someone's.. She pushed her (H/C) hair out of her face and looked at the class. "My name is (L/N) (F/N). Please take care of me." She bowed.

My heart stopped for a second and I slammed my hands on my desk, Making everyone turn their attention to me and (Y/N) flinched a bit startled.
"(Y/N)?! I thought I'd never see you again!! I wanted to say I'm so sorry for what happened those many years ago an-" I was almost done with my apology but she had stopped me before I could finish.

"I'm sorry but...um..Who are you?" She asked tilting her head, making her (H/C) shift a bit. I felt my heart drop into my stomach as I walked over to her, stopping in front of her being.

"It's me (Y/N)..Taiga..Kagami...Do you not remember your best friend?.." I asked truly hurt but all she did was give me a sad smile and shake her head. "I'm sorry but I don't remember much from the past..." She said. Ah. I see. She must've lost her memory after being beaten half to death. "O - Oh no, it's okay...but anyways I'm Kagamj Taiga," I held my hand out.

"Let's start from square one and become friends again..." I looked at the small girl and she seemed hesitant at first but took hold of my larger hand and gave me a firm shake, "Alright Kagami!~" She chirped happily. This caused my face to heat up and I nodded before going to sit back down.

The teacher cleared her throat and told (Y/N) to sit in the empty desk behind me. Good. Good. She might have forgot about us. Me. But, I will protect her this time and bwcome best friends again. That's a promise.
