A/N This isn't meant to piss anyone off but honestly this is my opinion.
Okay, I've seen around the fandom is hate on Katy because she's a bad mother.
No fuck that. She's a damn good mother to Maya. Katy works alot so she give Maya a roof over her head, food in her stomach, clothes on her back. Katy was a single mother doing it all on her own since Kermit left. Katy even told Maya she's(Katy) the reason Kermit left, when in reality Kermit left because he wasn't ready. I've never seen someone work had hard as Katy to give their kid they want and more and put her happiness aside. If anything Maya was ungrateful until Shawn came along. Shawn made Maya realize that Katy was doing it all her own. Maya would always go to the Matthews for help or advice when her mother switched jobs to be closer to Maya and be there for her she needed it. I love Maya I do but sometimes she makes me question my sanity.
I was raised by a single raising 4 kids and working 2 to help provide for us. My mother meet my stepfather and even then she didn't need him. He'd by us stuff whenever we needed it. Shawn bought Maya clothes and Maya has been grateful ever since. And don't sit here tell me Maya has always been grateful because no she hasnt. Go back and watch Season 1 and then watch Girl Meets Hurricane. Okay.
