The Man with Little Words

Part 11

I sat alone in my room after a long day of studying for finals. Pumpkin crawled through the cracked door and curled up next to my feet. I kept hearing noises outside but I figured it was the neighborhood kids rustling around causing mischief. Then, I heard a loud bang on my door. I wasn't expecting anyone but then I remembered I forgot to pay my rent and I'm sure it was the land lord. I hop out of bed and put on some shorts. I yell, "I'm coming" and my hand grasps the doorknob. I swiftly open the door and see no one outside. I glance down the hall and see a man wearing all black. He's on the phone yelling at someone. I walk up to him and get his attention by tapping his shoulder. He turns around scolding me with his eyes. "What!", he scorns. I promptly asked him if he saw who was banging on my door. He said no and turned back around and continued to scream at whoever was on the other side of the phone. I walked back to my apartment and closed the door and locked it. I went into my room and tried to sleep but I couldn't. I went to the kitchen to get water and to my surprise Scott was sitting on the futon. I wanted to walk straight back to my bed and hide under the covers; why was he in my apartment?

I continued to make my way through to the kitchen, not even acknowledging his presence. I got out a cup and filled it with water, then suddenly I felt hands on my waist. I pushed him off and simply said no. And walked back to my room. He pushed open the door with so much force I thought it would break off its hinges. He jumped on top of me on the bed and held down my arms. I was pinned to the bed and was frightened. A tear formed in my eyes and slowly made its way down my cheek. He told me "you're going to give me what I want." He pushed down my shorts and unbuckled his belt.
