Never ever turn around to any voice calling up to you. Do not even respond or flinch. Because you know it's midnight and you are all by yourself. No one could be there at that moment.
A fragrance, a fowl smell can easily grab your attention even when you don't want to. But you have to resist.
You know all they want is your response, your attention. They want you to see what they want to show you. They want you to hear what they want to say. All they want is to bother you. If you respond them, you might not be alone anymore. It's their trap to capture you in fear.
They want the door to be opened so that they can travel the human world. Few of them are bad, they do this for spreading fear, horror, despair, evil like a disease.
Don't be afraid. Do not respond to them.
