Late Night At Office

It was around 9:00 p.m. that Kyuhyun was looking for the file so that he could finalize the reviewing of the presentation and submit it to his boss tomorrow. Suddenly thunder's light drove the entire hall which was in the 15th floor and heavy sound follows that. He then sees out from the hall through the glass window and saw rain that covers whole of Seoul, atleast till where he could see. Suddenly there's a power-cut and the whole hall becomes dark. Simultaneously his phone starts ringing. With his horror-struck heart he answers the phone. It was his Omma.

"Yeoboseyo... Ah Omma! You scared me. Why are you calling with an unknown number?"

"My phone went dead so I'm using a neighbour's phone."

"But why are you calling now. Is it urgent?"

"Nothing urget. I was worried about you. Are you in a safe place? How are you going to manage coming home?"

"Omma, don't worry. I'm fine. I'm in my office right now. I'm stuck here actually. The roads are flooding with water. I'll come once the rain decreases. So, you don't worry, arrasso?"

"Okay. But I'm worried about you. You have come back to Seoul very recently. I'm scared you might be lost in the city."

"Omma, how can I be lost in the city I have spend my whole childhood? I lived USA only for 10 years, 18 years of my life were spent in Seoul.And it's already been 7 months here. So, don't worry, I'll come home safe. okay?"

Suddenly a voice came over "Kyuhyun?" He turned around but obviously couldn't see the person due to the darkness. But he clearly recognized his voice.

It was none other than his boss, Choi Siwon, the CEO of Choi Ltd. and the first love of his life. Kyuhyun had dated girls before but after seeing his boss on the first day of his work, he realized he never really loved the girls he dated. His first and maybe only love was his boss. He couldn't make himself believe it but soon he accepted his feelings. But it was all one-sided. His boss hardly talked to him, even though Kyuhyun was his secretary. They only had professional discussions. Never had a personal one. Kyuhyun made himself believe that the boss didn't like him, loving him was out of question. Afterall, all men aren't gay in the world, atleast not Siwon since he had a girlfriend for 4 years before they broke up recently. It was a huge commotion on the media as well.

"Kyuhyun... are you there in the hall?" Siwon asked again, this time a little concerned.

"Yes sir. I'm in the hall. Do you need something sir?"

"Good. I see that you are near my cabin so just come in. "

Kyuhyun was surprised. He hardly went to Siwon's cabin. Siwon didn't like anyone coming into his cabin. Kyuhyun only went there when he needed approvals or signatures. "Yes sir." He lights the torch of his phone. He opens the door and enters inside. Siwon is sitting on his chair with a lit candle. He gives Kyuhyun another candle and an emergency light.

"Sorry for the trouble Kyuhyun-ssi. The generator is still under repair so just use this emergency light to complete your work."

"Gamsahamnida sajang-nim." Kyuhyun bows, takes the candle and emergency light, then goes out of the cabin. He had contolled his breath all this time. Afterall, he was alone in the office with his boss, his love.

But why is he still in the office? Kyuhyun questioned himself while going back to his desk. He resumed his work as he had an emergency light with him. After a while, the temperature started falling. Kyuhyun felt really cold so he wore his coat and resumed his work but that didn't help. He was started to shiver a little.

"Kyuhyun-ssi, please come inside the cabin." He heard Siwon calling him again. Kyuhyun went indise the cabin again. "Kyuhyun-ssi. Stay inside the cabin. It's cold outside and I don't want my secretary to take unnecessary leave for cold so please stay inside."
