It's been almost two months since my indoctrination into Anonymous. Jennifer and I are pretty much a couple. We haven't made it official, but we spend almost every weekend together and I carry her books to class. Hunter Franks moved into my house that one night turned into an interview for a roommate and he passed. Lance as been seeing someone he met at a nightclub a few weeks ago. We all checked him out and he seems solid for the most part. Fran is currently trying out for the school play, as the evil stepmother to Cinderella, and if you ask me she is perfect for it. Jackie and Susan both began a kick for college and have been riding all of us to apply for every single scholarship on the internet. Mrs. Peterson found her husband of four years cheating on her with his dentist, which was quite the twist seeing as his dentist his a man, so that's nice. Uncle Davison is now making eyes at Ms. Stevens! So now you are officially caught up on the goings-on at Bridget Madison High.

I'm getting ready to pick Jennifer up at her classroom when I hear Fran's voice, "You have to tell him." She sounds urgent. Who is she talking about?

"I know, but I can't," it's Jennifer's voice. "I'm scared. Things have been going so well," Jennifer's voice sounded desperate and sad. What the Franks are they talking about? Even in my inner thoughts, Fran is rubbing off on me!

"Yes, but he deserves to know," Fran reasons. What? Is it me? What's the secret?

"I'll tell him," Jennifer assures her. God, why did I have to hear that? Sometimes Big Brother is right Ignorance is bliss!

"I got to run. See you at Anonymous, bye," Fran waves off, so I step back as though I'm just getting there.

"Hey, Fran," I smile to her waving. She smiles back, but I can see the underlying worry in her face.

"Hey, Joey, see you at Anonymous." I nod and she gets lost in the crowded halls. I walk over to where I know Jennifer is waiting for me.

"Jennifer," I call to get her attention. Her eyes meet mine and I see her visibly relax. "Come on, beautiful. We have a class to get to." She blushes at my comment, even though I pretty much call her that every day.

"Okay, Thinman," she laughs, using the nickname she gave me. Even though it is the name of a made up demon on Supernatural. It sprung from the fact that during girl scout cookie season I ate ten boxes of thin mints all by myself over the span of three days. Was I sick? A little. Was it worth it? Most definitely. It also, helps that I am pretty thin myself.

We I took her books from her, and we walked to her Art History class. I dropped her off, gave her a kiss on the lips and walked to my next class, as though I hadn't eavesdropped on their conversation earlier. She will tell me when she tells me. I told myself, trying not to let whatever secret it got the better of me.

After class I walked to room 253, Mrs. Peterson greeted me at the door, and I saw Hunter. "My brother from another mother!" I called, and he laughed greeting me with a pat on the back. "How's your day going?"

"It's fine, but my mom started texting me, during the second period. She said she wants to see me. Joey, I don't know what to do. Last time I saw her was months ago when she stood by as my father beat me out of the house. I'm finally all healed. I don't know," he finished a look of confusion and uncertainty on his face.

"I can't tell you what to do, Hunter, but I'll be there for you, however, I can. You have to decide if you are ready to see her. Do you want to see her?" I ask.

"I miss her," he confesses, staring at his hands.

"Then, perhaps you should see what she has to say. Maybe it's good. I can't think of any reason why some would reach out unless it was to make amends," I tried.

"I'll think about it. Thanks," he said, scrolling through his texts from his mom again. Lance came through the door just then.

"I love you, Lance," I called to him holding my promise, and he winked.

"I know," he said taking a seat in the circle. The whole group eventually got here, and Fran stood up on a nearby desk.

"Ladies and Gentle Gents, I have a very big announcement to make. I got the part!" She screamed, jumping off the table, in excitement. She was welcomed to a chorus of congratulations. "You will all be standing in the crowd opening day, right?"

We all laughed in agreement.

After the meeting, Jennifer took my hand and pulled me out of the back door towards the football field bleachers. "Jennifer, I'm all for a good adventure, but we've got class and I can't miss-" I began, but she kissed me quickly on the lips, effectively shutting me up. "Okay, fine adventure it is. Lead the way, beautiful." Once we were covered by the old rusting benches, she stepped away from me.

"Joey, I have something, I really need to tell you," her voice strained and I became nervous.

"What is it? You can tell me anything," I tried to encourage her. She kept looking down at her folded hands not meeting my eyes. I covered her hands with mine, and her sweet eyes meet mine. "Jennifer, tell me."

She let out a deep sigh and leaned her head against my chest. I rubbed soothing circles into her shoulders. She nodded to herself and pulled away. "On July 17th, 1999 at 8:56 am Bob James Shore and Melissa Ann Shore said hello to their little bundle of joy Jonathan James Shore," she stopped and waited, but I didn't know what to say. I stared back. What does this mean?
