Today is the day I find out who I am. I have no idea what to expect. Up until the age of 16, everyone's eyes are black. On the 16th birthday we must go to the courthouse and get drops which clear up the black and show our true color. I am hoping I will stay a soil, even if it's the lowest class I don't want to leave my family."Good morning Clarice!" I hear my mother say excitedly. I groan and roll over, shifting my warm sheets around." The whole family is ready to go and it's YOUR day to find out who you are, get up!" She says as she opens my curtains and storms out of my room. I crawl out of bed and change into my regular rags that we call clothes. Today my whole life will be will be decided for me.
