"Come with me. I know a place where we can hide until light," The strange boy said again.

"Why should we trust you? How do we know you aren't just as bad as whatever is out there?, " Dawn questioned sceptical as usual. Then we heard it. It started out quite, but got loud; really loud.

"Now do you believe me? I only came here for Lani. I don't care if you two come or not," The boy said again, "But we need to leave now!!"

"Let's go!" I yelled, frantic to get away from whatever is out here. How does this boy know my name? Why does he look so familiar. I have no idea what is going on, but I oddly trust him. Stupid, I know, but I have to figure out who he is. I don't care what I have to do; I need more information.

We ran for what felt like a century. He gripped my wrist as we ran trying to get me to move faster through the trees. I was growing tired but I had to keep my speed up or he would be dragging me through the brush around our feet.

As he tired and started to slow down, I was able to slow my breath enough to ask, "Who exactly are you?"

"Me? Well I am Jonas Dean. You know that, right? Wait, you wouldn't remember. They got to you before I could."

"Who got to me? What is going on", I demanded, "I think I would remember it if I had met you. I mean you're just.. well..," I Trail off. I couldn't tell him how hot I thought he was

"This is so frustrating. Why couldn't they have just let me take you after the incident. That would make things a lot easier if they just let you remember" Jonas said furious that I didn't know who he was.

After what seemed like hours of walking, Bella started complaining, "Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?"

"Oh my god!" Dawn exclaimed getting really annoyed, "Shut up already!"

"If you are going to whine the entire time, go back," Jonas said annoyed with the both of them. Personally, I was intrigued by the forest around us. Parts of it were bright while other bits were dark. I don't understand where the light is coming from though. You can't see the sky through the trees; in fact, it seems to get darker as the trees go on. I wonder how high it goes. It is so different out here compared to the barren walls of my room.

"It is right through here," Jonas announced pulling me out of my thoughts. I honestly forgot I wasn't alone out here. It is just so serene; you could forget about everything else in the world. Just you and the forest.

Bella steps forward and starts to go through, but Dawn, being the over-protective girl she is stops her and says, "How about you go first Jonas."

"You should go first. I have to make sure we weren't followed. Don't worry, it is safe to go in," Jonas replied with a tone of responsibility.

Dawn starts to say, "I am perfectly capable of doing..." But I interrupt her, "I'll go!

It takes a while for my eyes to truly capture my surroundings. The entrance is darker than night itself. All I can see is a small light at the end of what seems like a tunnel. It is pretty obvious when the others entered. You could hear them fighting from a mile away.

"SHUT UP," Jonas screamed at the two imbeciles behind me, " There are creatures in this cave that can snap your neck in two seconds flat."

Dawn decides to test Jonas' words and screams at the top of her lungs, "HEYYYY, COME ON OUT YOU BEAST!!!! WH..."

Jonas clamped his hand over Dawn's mouth cutting her scream fest short, "Oww! She bit me!"

"Well what did you expect" Dawn snipes glowering at him, "Ha; told you he is fake. No beasts for miles!" As that last word slipped out of her mouth, a roar so deep and powerful the whole structure of the cave shook, in fact; the cave seemed to be moving? That can't be; this isn't a living thing. Is it? That is impossible, right?

"Hey, Jonas," I tentatively ask him, "is it possible this isn't a cave?"

Jonas burst out laughing, "No way! This is just a way to scare away the beasts. When that idiot," he says pointing to Dawn, "started yelling, something must have woken up setting off the alarms. It is just a precaution put in by the ancients."

"Ancients," I asked suddenly curious. But Bella kept freaking out about the "monster" for him to hear me because she didn't hear Jonas explain anything, but I hadn't heard anything from Dawn in a while. Wait, where is she? It isn't like her to just wonder off. She wants everyone there so she can show off her knowledge and correct us on our stupidity
