Ally's POV
"Honey I'm home!" I heard the door slam shut and the steady padding of footsteps coming into the living room.
"Hi." I looked at him meekly. He looked taller today.
"Awe, that's all I get from the love of my life? A measly little hi? You can do better babe." He moved closer and waited.
I didn't say anything. Maybe he'll get that I'm not in the mood for his game of house.
He grabbed my chin and pointed my face towards his after a while of me not speaking.
Oh yeah. He doesn't care if I'm in the mood or not.
"I don't know why you insist on being so stubborn all the damn time. I wanted a simple yet heart felt response. That's it."
.................
"No? Fine." He let go of me and grabbed the bags he had with him and took them to the kitchen.
"You know we're gonna talk about what happened at the carnival right?" He was talking to me from the kitchen. I could hear him preparing dinner.
"Nothing happened at the carnival." That's a lie but he doesn't have to know that.
"Oh sweetie. Do you think I'm stupid? I know who that girl was."
Let's play it dumb. "Who? Lauren? She's my best friend. We went to high school together."
"No Allyson!" I heard a thud that sounded a lot like him stabbing a knife into the cutting board.
I swallowed thickly as I listened carefully. It was completely silent, except for the AC.
He came from around the corner, out of the kitchen, and into the living room.
"Normani. Kordei. Hamilton." He looked at me whilst leaning on the doorway.
"What about her?" What not about her?
"You cheating on me Allyson?" His voice...
"Cause if you are, we're gonna have problems." It was dark, deep, and eerily calm.
"No Troy, I'm not sleeping with Normani." I wish. I refuse to say cheating. Then he'll believe I think we're in a relationship.
"Then what was that at the carnival, huh? I saw you with her. Before her friends showed up. She was caressing you in only a way I should." He leaned off the wall, taking a step closer.
"I don't let you touch me like that."
"You know I almost killed her right? Yeah. I was right next to the test your might game. I almost grabbed that hammer and bashed her face in. I wanted to, I really did. I, unlike you, have self control though."
"I don't know what you're talking about." I folded my arms and looked away.
"Don't. Play. Dumb. I don't like that, Ally. You're starting to piss me off." I could tell he had gotten closer while my head was turned. I could feel his presence.
"My lovely, sweet, unfaithful girlfriend." He placed his hand on my cheek and turned my face back to him.
"We have rules, remember? No communication, no touching, no looking at Normani. Kordei. Hamilton." He gritted out her name like it was a struggle for him.
"She came over to me. I just said hi and then the others came over too." I looked him straight in the eye. It was the only thing I could do with him holding my face.
"You love her more than me?"
"I could love anyone more than you."
"That wasn't what I asked. I asked do you love her more than me?" His face had gotten closer. I could smell him. He smelled like perfume.
