Integra's pov.
Alucard had run off with that girl without even talking to me before hand. Ever since that woman had walked back into our lives things have gone to hell making me regret our saving her at times. Alucard even turned her into a vampire for some reason. I understood she was dying in front of him but still there was no point saving her unless he sees something that I don't see. I have no idea where he ran off to with her, more than likely he was going out to cause more problems for me to deal with sadly. When was he going to see the way I feel about him and how much he means to me so he would stop messing around with this useless girl that way we can things back to normal. A sigh leaves my lips as I gently message my temple to help relieve some of the stress that Alucard has caused. I really can't understand the way he thinks or even the logic he uses to come to the choices he has made.
Walter had brought me food and mentioned what he had seen in the kitchen. I was annoyed by what I heard but chose not to act, I would win in the end. For the rest of the night I worked on what was needed pushing all thoughts to the back of my mind and as the sun started to come up I glance at my office door almost expecting to see my vampire walk in. For the rest of the time I was awake I kept hoping that the vampire under my control would walk into the manor but he never does and I huff as I walk to my bed. 'Perhaps I should do some looking into his past more or more into that girls but there is no getting rid of her now. Unless I kill her then he would ignore my orders.' I think as I lay down to sleep. Hopefully I will get more answers once he is back, maybe he took her somewhere to kill her off but I doubted that after the effort he put into training her.
Alucard's pov.
I sigh as I have to leave my brides room, I would be back once her family wasn't hovering around her for the night. She was doing well for a fledgling and I would keep an eye on her just in case seeing as all who are living here are dear to her heart. "Thank you count for looking after her. I don't know what my dad or any of us would have done had she died." Her youngest cousin says as he comes to a stop in front of me. His eyes were shinning with unshed tears, his whole body was shaking with silent cries or something else I wasn't sure which one it was as he looks up at me. From what I could tell, and had seen the youngest had grown close to my bride in her time at her mother's home when she had been there. "I felt the same way. That robber was a coward for what he did." I say as I look to the side feeling my anger bubble up in me once again at the thought of the man who dared to try killing my woman.
"She wouldn't tell us what happened just that she was hurt and would have died had she not been on a date with you. My dad was cussing up a storm thinking the worst and thanking all the gods for you being there. I.....I just hate the idea of her having been alone and hurt." He says and finally the tears fall. Not knowing what to do I take a half step back and was saved by one of his older brothers walking over leading him away with a nod of his head at me. I nod back before wondering the house a little, like I used to when my pure little light was human and unaware of my actions once she slept. My mind wondering to the one who dared to shoot her and what I would do to him once my hands got on him. I smirk a little at the thought of his blood coating my body as he begs for death that I would bring to him slowly. Unconsciously I lick my lips at the thought of all the blood and screams before chuckling ever so slightly. Perhaps I would take her with me and let her land the killing blow on him as he so willingly did to her the moment he pulled the trigger.
I hear the humans settle in for the night and start my way back to her room but was stopped as she walks over to me. Without a thought I pull her into my arms pressing her body tightly to mine and she sighs into the hold resting her head on my shoulder as I hold her. "What do we do now?" She whispered as she looks up at me her eyes flashing red for a moment before going back to their natural color. "Rest for now, we should stay here and tomorrow I will get us something once we wake." I say as I carried her in my arms back to her room and she sighs softly at my actions. The rest of the night we talked as we sat on her bed wrapped in each others hold. She took to my teachings hanging on every word I said learning to control herself around mortals, she wanted to keep ties with her human family until it was no longer possible due to her lack of aging.
