Chapter 4

Simon's POV

I ran to Nandos and found Emma and the kids sitting down.

I rushed to them and panted.

' Simon? What the hell happened? ' Emma asked

' Co-Courtney, she's n-not d-dead ' I breathed and looked at them

Everyone's eyes widened and filled with confusion

' HOW THOUGH? ' Adam said as he stood up with Jasmine shortly followed by us

' Dad, Tell us! ' Jasmine said as she shook my shoulders

I looked at the twins and back at Adam and Jasmine. They knew what I was thinking

' Um guys, you're gonna stay at the sidemen house for a bit, okay? ' Adam asked

' No! Dad, is mum dead? ' Amy asked as she looked at me with puppy eyes

' Honey, we can't talk about this right now, we need to go. ' Emma asked as she stood up

She then took Amy's hand while Jasmine took Luke's hand. The poor boy was confused

We ran to the car and then I drove to the sidemen house as everyone was asking me continuous questions.

I parked the car and got out. I told everyone to stay in the car except for the twins. The other two were old enough.

I knocked on the door with each twin whining on the side

The door opened to reveal JJ.

' Jide, please babysit the twins. I'll be back. Thanks ' I said and then ran back to the car.

JJ was confused but then shrugged and allowed the twins in

' So where now? ' Adam asked

' Hospital ' I said and then started the car.

After a few minutes

We all got out and ran to the hospital. We then looked around until I saw a girl with blonde, short hair talking to the doctor (he was the one who told Simon that Courtney was dead -if you remember in book 2)

I ran to him and the blonde girl and him looked at me and was shocked

' Doctor. Explain. ' I said with an angry expression on my face

The doctor sighed and nodded. He told the blonde girl to go and then we were all led to a room. But I remembered this room. It was when the doctor told me that Courtney was dead

We took a seat and I gave him the ' go on ' face

The doctor sighed and started

' So, when you guys left the hospital, we tried running one more test on her. But that did include having her brain washed. We tried it, and it worked. But the thing was that she didn't remember anyone or anything. I then contacted my best friend, Taylor, the blonde girl that you saw I was talking to ' The doctor said and looked at us. My heart was filled with pain, knowing Courtney won't remember me.

' I told Taylor to have Courtney as her roommate, and now their awesome friends. Courtney started a new life, fresh. I almost changed her name but I didn't do it, for you ' he said

I felt Emma's hand on my shoulder as a tear rolled down my face.

I heard Jasmine sob and then rush outside.

' I'll check if she's okay ' Adam voice croaked as he walked out

Emma shortly followed and it was just me and the doctor.

' I-is there anything we can do to get her memory back? ' I asked and looked at the doctor

' Yes. You'll have to hang out with her regularly and then She'll get her memories back by being with you. It can happen when she wakes up or out of nowhere ' The doctor said as I nodded

' But Simon, show her what she's missing, if you mess up, her chances of getting her memories back, are going nowhere ' The doctor said as I nodded

I'm going to get my Courtney back once and for all.
