~Author's Note~
Hey guys! I've never really written a story like this before. I decided to give it a go after reading some awesome books. Wish me good luck!
"I'll miss you!" A little girl shouted, tears trickling down her face.
"I'll miss you more!" A boy who looks around the same age shouted back.
The boy held back his tears as he didn't want the little girl feel more depressed. A tall, well structured lady opened the sleek, black car door and the girl shuffled onto the seat. Either side of the boy was an adult. His parents. The sad boy and his parents waved goodbye to the family of three as they pulled out of the drive and embarked on their journey from New Zealand to it's rival country, Australia.

Half and hour later the trio were standing in a large queue waiting to hand their tickets in and jump on the plane. The little girl outstretched her arms and stumbled up to her father who immediately picked her up and gave her a giant hug. "Daddy," the little girl said, "I'm scared. I've never been on a plane, but you have. Is it scary? What if it crashes?" The man smiled at her daughter who was dressed in a puffy, pink dress with her stunning, blonde hair tied up neatly in a ponytail. "It's alright darling. There's nothing to be afraid of. If you get scared just remember, I'll be sitting next to you the whole way," he threw her in the air slightly to make sure she didn't fall out of his arms. They handed in their tickets and flew off into the mysterious, cloudy sky.

Half way through the flight. The girl sat comfortably in her seat on the plane, enjoying the view of the ocean below her. Suddenly, everyone felt an unusual shake. She turned to her mother that was sleeping beside her. The juice on her tray table shook. The airplane broadcasted a flight attendant speaking in an urgent voice. "Everyone! Stay calm! We are experiencing some difficulties with the aircraft. Please make use of the oxygen masks we provide!"
Just then, on cue, oxygen masks fell from the ceiling. It suddenly became chaotic in the plane. Women began screaming in high-pitched voices. Children began wailing and kicking. Fathers sweat anxiously, trying to calm everyone down. "It's alright," her father said while putting an oxygen mask over his daughter's mouth. He reached past the panicking girl and shoved an oxygen mask on his wife while she awakened and immediately started panicking.
The man tried to stay calm and reassure his crying daughter. "It's okay, don't panic. Maybe it's just some turbulence."
But the plane continued rocking furiously, and all of a sudden, the man felt himself falling vertically. He tried putting his mask on, but it just didn't seem to work. He couldn't plant his feet on the ground. It felt like a roller coaster. Only, on a rollercoaster, people get off safely.
The little girl cried while hugging her fathers arms as the plane drew closer and closer to the sea. A flash of light. A spark of fire. A world consumed in darkness.
