He grinned at me, and I saw a set of vampire-like teeth gleam in the light. He strode off, and I gaped at his retreating form.

What the hell did I just see?

I walked past my friend, knowing he would follow. We weren't meant to be seen together, so it would probably be safer to take it outside to the street.

I pushed open the doors, immediately greeted by the cool night air. I hadn't realized the club had been so hot.

"So..." I trailed off, turning around to see my friend better. "...any progress?"

He only glared back at me with his dark red eyes, symbolizing he was indeed a Demon. "Why the Hell do you think I would come, Tae?" he snapped. I held up my arms in surrender.

"Sorry Yoongi, I just thought you might like to say hi to a friend of yours. Maybe go in and get a drink-" I was cut off by Yoongi's growl.

"I found another portal. It's on the other side of town," he explained. I quickly checked over his shoulder for the bouncer. Nowhere to be seen.

"Well does it have reinforcements?" I raised my eyebrows, thinking this was too easy. Yoongi scratched the back of his neck meekly and I groaned.

"It may or may not have at least five Demons guarding it," he said. I sighed.

"Let's at least go have a look, huh?" I slapped his back. He muttered at the contact but agreed.

As we waited for a taxi I decided to run over everything that had happened in the last couple of months in my head. So many things can happen in a short span of time, it's crazy.

In the last eight weeks I had been kicked out of Heaven for reasons I wasn't yet ready to accept. God himself had banished me to the deepest, darkest depths of Hell. The only thing no one had planned for was when I had gotten stuck between the two. Yoongi was just a friend trying to help out. Here I was, stuck on Earth, the happy medium between bliss and eternal death, and God, nor his Archangels knew about it. If the Demons of Seoul found out a Fallen Angel was in their midst I was dead meat. The only thing that would notify them was my eyes. One a human brown, the other a rich red.

"Maybe I should get sunglasses instead of trying to put on a half-assed glamour every time I go out." I said, breaking the silence.

Yoongi just snorted, waving his hand a bit when he saw an approaching taxi. No words were said as we both climbed in, not wanting the driver to know of our conversation, human or not.

Yoongi leaned forward, telling the driver our destination. We had set off before I knew it. Seeming as the portal was all the way across the city, it would be a long drive. I immediately gave up on conversation and looked out the window.

Seoul never slept, and it was the reason I loved the place. Everyone always had somewhere to go, something to do. Even at eleven o'clock at night.

My eyes traced a raindrop down the window, and more quickly followed. Soon there were too many drops to count and the streets were drenched in rain.

My eyes focused past the raindrops and out the window to the passing buildings. The taxi stopped at a red light and the inside of the car was silent as we sat in an awkward quiet.

A man standing on the corner of the street had his head ducked low, trying the keep the rain out of his eyes. He slowly lifted his head as people flowed around him. The Demon's red eyes glowed as he locked his gaze on me. The passing people didn't seem to notice.

The Demon started to walk across the street towards the cab, slyly grinning as he did so, showing off his sharp teeth. The light turned green and the cab driver hit the gas pedal, speeding off before the Demon had a chance to reach the car.
