Cracks in Her Heart

A grey saddened heart,

Emotions in a fix.

It's the one thing that's broken,

The thing time cannot fix.

A broken heart,

Aching from loss.

Depression overriding happiness,

Showing who's boss.

Picking up the pieces,

Setting them right.

But the cracks are visible.

Shining through is the light.

But along with the light,

There's dark.

The scars upon her soul,

Marking her heart.

Memories of good and bad,

Shall never be lost.

Holding on desperately,

Not letting go at all costs.
