Hawaii was a small country. She was eventually found and adopted into a state by America. Even though she rejected his offer profusely, he insisted she become a state. So she basically became one of America's 50 kids. This said, she never accepted him as her father, even though he praised her, spoiled her, and loved her beyond all else. She never liked him. She wanted to be with England, but he didn't want her. Thus, she developed a hatred towards the two countries. Though, she always got along with Japan.
