When I get my Revenge

Chapter 13

I stared at Kian  he was beautiful. I had just met this baby not even 24 hours ago and I'm already hooked.

I looked at Natsu's door, just to make sure he was asleep, he was. I changed back into my regular form. I had had the opportunity to change how I-Lucy- looked, but I would be betraying my mother. And I couldn't do that to her.

I walked around in my Lucy form. My real form. It felt nice to be like this again.

"L-Lucy?" Natsu stuttered as he rubbed his eyes. I fell into a panicked state.

"N-No. I'm Aquafina. You must mistaken me for someone else." I quickly changed into my Aquafina form.

"Luce." Natsu stared at me.

My shifting wouldn't work. And I looked at myself.

I was still in my original form.

Oh god no. No, no, no. This can't be happening. Oh my gosh, I need to get out of here.

I quickly laid Kian in his crib and ran out.  I can't do this. What was I thinking.

"LUCY! WAIT!" Natsu ran after me.

"Remember me? That weakling you kicked out of your team? The girl who loved you. She's dead now." Lucy stopped running. She was standing in the middle of the road.

"Lucy, I am so sorry. Please ju-"

"Save it for later. If you were sorry then you should of never did what you did. I love you, Natsu. And, you didn't even acknowledge it. But," She turned towards me," I guess it's okay." She lifted her arm into the air and seemed to pull down air, it started pouring.

"Sorry Natsu. I'm not the same person I was when I left. I-I-I'm improved. And I still love you. But, I refuse to love you. So just- just leave me alone. You're my mate. And you've mated with another woman. And, it hurts. Did you know that that's a way of rejecting me? I'm the queen. With out you, I'm going to die within this month. But I think that that is what you want. For me, your mate, to die. And I'm not okay with that. This," She took out a key and waved it in the air, "This is your dad. He was so happy that he would have a daughter. But. His daughter is dying right now. And within a month, she's going to be nothing. She's going to be gone. Forever. Did I ask for this Natsu? No. I didn't. So why is it that I have to die. It's unfair, really. The boy mate always lives. It's always the girl mate who dies. It's unfair. Just because of you, the dragons will perish, for real this time. And I don't want this for them. Please, please accept me. I don't want to die." She was crying.

I ran to her, "I'm so sorry. I'm so stupid. Please forgive me. I don't know what happened to me. Please don't leave me." I hugged her. I couldn't believe this. I was holding Lucy in my arms.

"I, I Natsu Dragneel accept you, Lucy Heartfilla as my mate." I held her closer.

"Does this mean?"

"Yes. We have to complete the mating ritual in 3 weeks, to seal the acception. And I have to mark you." I muttered.

"This is so complicated." Lucy held onto me.

"Let's go back home." Lucy said.

"Yes, yes." She hopped on my back. I held her thighs, making sure that my lovely mate doesn't fall.

"Thank you, Natsu." Lucy muttered against my neck.

"For what?" I asked.

"For accepting me. Thank you." I felt Lucy smile.

"I'm sorry for everything that I've done. I'm stupid for mating that other girl. I'm so sorry." I apologized.

"Apology accepted. Let's put this behind us." Lucy hugged me from the back.

"Thanks." I smiled

"Ne..... Natsu..... What happened to Kian?" Lucy asked.

"Happy is sleeping in his crib with him." I smiled as Lucy laughed.

She laid her head on my shoulder.

We quickly got home, Lucy fell asleep so I put her on my bed. Kian was still sleeping so I laid him in between me and Lucy. Lucy reached out and grabbed Kian, gently of course while I laid the comforter on us.

That nap, we all slept soundlessly.
