Anna doesn't speak on the way to the theater. She simply smiles and nods to whatever Leo was saying. After a while, he gave up and walks next to her in silence.

She is grateful that her grandfather is still alive, but she didn't like the idea that he was suffering while she had been locked in the white room.

She shudders at the thought and is about to cross the street when he grabs her concealed arm and yanks her back into his chest. She bites back a whimper; he was pressing into her wounded back.  A large truck barrels over where she would've been standing if Leo hadn't pulled her back.

For a brief second, she wishes he hadn't stopped her. That he had let her get run over. That he would've just let her die. Ended her misery.

But when she looks up at him, into his eyes, she immediately feels guilt. His eyes were full of concern. Something she hadn't seen in a long time. In his arms, she felt secure, safe almost. She nearly laughs at the thought.

"Sorry," he whispers, and lets her go. Instantly, she wants him to hold her again, "There was a..."

"Truck," she finishes for him, taking his hand again. She wanted that sense of security she had felt before back, "Thank you."

He looks down at their hands and a slow smile crosses his face. He looks cute when he smiles. She feels her face flush and his about to pull away when he clutches her hand tighter. That made her forget her worries and focus fully on him.

"I like it when your hand is in mine," he tells her, the smile still on his face. She grins and playfully nudges his shoulder.

"THAT was so cheesy," she giggles, he frowns.

"It was?" He asks, rubbing the nape of his neck with his free hand.

"Yup," she answers, then reaches up and ruffles his hair, "You're cute so it's okay."

He stares at her and she realizes what she just said. The flush already on her face deepens. He grins and pinches her cheek.

"This blush is betraying you," he comments, she slaps his hand away.

"Don't we have a movie to get to?" She questions.

His eyes twinkle and he removes his hand from hers and wraps that arm around her waist.

"Yeah, let's go."
