Chapter 13

THE NEXT MORNING (NICKIS POV)

Today is the day of the custody hearing so I got up at 7:00. I took a shower, got dressed and curled my hair. I wore a pink and white tight fitting shirt with white pumps. It was now 8:00 so I woke Drake up so he could get ready. I walked over to his side of the bed and tapped his shoulder.

Nicki: babe get up

Drake: i'm up i'm up

Nicki: hahahaha now go get ready

He got up and kissed me on the forehead before taking a shower.

DRAKES POV

I was just drying off after my shower and was about to get dressed. I got dressed in a black suit with white leather shoes. I brushed my shoes and sprayed my cologne. It was now 9;00 so me and Nicki went to the court house. When we arrived at the court house we saw Evan walking into the court room. I put my arm around Nicki's waist and we walked into the room.  We stood behind our podium and waited for the judge.

NICKIS POV

I was getting so nervous as we waited for the judge. I intertwined me hand with Drake's and I begun to calm down. The judge finally came out and started the case. The first 15 minutes of the case was the judge getting to know why we're here and why we think each other are unfit.

Judge: Ms. Maraj why do you feel that Mr. Johnson is unfit to take care of Jayden.

Nicki: because he doesn't know anything about Jayden and the only reason he wants him is because I left him.

Judge: Mr. Johnson is that true?

Evan: no, I want my son because I fell like he is in an unsafe environment.

Judge: please explain

Evan: well Mr. Graham is a very violent person.

Judge: how so?

Evan: well when Nicki first left me he beat me up for no reason what so ever and then just a week ago he attacked me again.

Judge: Mr. Graham is this true?

Drake: yes, but the first time me and Mr. Johnson fought it was he hit Ms. Maraj and the second time I fought him because he was threating Jayden and Ms. Maraj.

Judge: Ms. Maraj is this true?

Nicki: yes your honor

Judge: well I believe I have enough information..........

Everyone went quiet and stood still.

Judge: I give Mr. Johnson full custody and Ms. Maraj you may have visitation on the weekend and holidays.

Nicki: *crying* bu....bu....but why

Judge: because your dating someone who can't control their anger

DRAKES POV

Nicki broke down and cried into my chest. I rubbed her back and asked the judge when does Evan get Jayden. She told me that we were to pick Jayden up today, drop him off at Evan's house and then pick him up on Friday. Nicki was so mad that she ran out the court room and out to the car. I followed her and we drove to get Jay.
